“Small but Informative”

BYU Museum of Paleontology

This is a great place to go when you don't have a lot of time but want to see cool things. We had our grandkids with us who have been before and asked to go again. There are plenty of dinosaur skeletons - take time to read the info on the walls and near the displays. There are fossils kids can touch too.

We go to the other dinosaur museums in Utah (Price, Vernal, Salt Lake, etc.) and all are wonderful in their own ways. Bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. Stop and spend some time at this one and you'll see that it's a gem right in the middle of Provo.

Such a nice little gem at BYU to spend an hour or more learning about the dinosaurs of the Utah area. You can also see students processing fossils through a window into the workshop. The full size dinosaur skeletal displays are amazing. Several fossils you are encouraged to touch. The displays allow an easy flow that keeps you intrigued around every corner. Great places for selfies and family pictures. Closeup Parking and convenient bathrooms are a big plus.

This small museum is located near the football stadium of BYU. Its pretty small in size so the whole thing can be seen in an hour. There are a few dinosaur skeletons displayed. What was interesting is that thruout the displays some had labels ‘touch the fossils’ so those who cannot resist touching things can do so to their hearts content
