Booked here as an economical room for an impromptu family ski trip. Hyatt Place delivered on all points - location, cleanliness, and comfort. The best part, however, was the attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff - everyone was eager to help and always pleasant.

This hotel provides excellent value 10 mins from Deer Valley. Only minor issues were small ant infestation in our bathroom and an overly water-saving shower head. Ski rentals and location are pluses. Could improve the breakfast choices (less sugary cereal). Highly recommended.

Stayed a few nights added on to a time share stay elsewhere. Good value, large room with nice sitting area and mini fridge.

Great breakfast! Close to the Canyons, offer a skier shuttle (we didn’t use)

Excellent location for accessing local mountains. Enjoyed free shuttle to main st park city. Very clean. Great breakfast included. Excellent value for the location. I’d suggest having a car for convenience.

We stayed for a week with a large group of about 30 people with our ski club. The room was spacious with a king size bed and seating area consisting of a sofa and ottoman. The bathroom was also large with an adjustable shower head. All accommodations were clean and fresh. Maid service was very good. Temperature controls were easy to use and effective. The room had a fridge but no safe.

However, we also had some issues and there is much room for improvement. One young couple in our party were assigned to a handicap room that they did not want and were refused a room the equal of the rest of the guests. They said nothing else was available. Having arrived late in the evening, they had no choice but to stay in it. Now it seems to me that if you can’t park in a designated handicap space then it should be equally as illegal to book those people into those rooms who don’t need them. The following day they again went to the free desk to get a standard room and were denied. They asked for a refund to seek lodging elsewhere. After much hassle which caused the young wife to breakdown in tears, management magically came up with a room equal to the rest of ours. The initial handling of this problem was unacceptable and should have been quickly and easily resolved immediately.

Second, most of the people who stay here in the winter are going to the ski areas to ski or ride. They have a shuttle service to take you back and forth to them but it’s extremely limited. You must signup in as soon as possible and once the two trips they make are booked, that’s it. You’ll have to take public transport or pay an Uber. Either get a bigger shuttle or make more trips so you can get everyone to the mountain. The other thing is that the shuttle doesn’t start doing route loops until after 2pm. You have to phone in a request to be picked up and hope it shows up. It never showed up for us and after a half hour we gave up and took the city bus. The driver very helpful and a great guy but I think there must be some communication problems with dispatch. Also don’t check your equipment as no one at the hotel has a key to access the storage if the guy who runs the service as a third party is late or you need to leave early for one of the mountains. Keep it in your room.

Third, the breakfasts and some of the menu selections are okay but the “perfect” cheese was simply terrible. Some hard, unmelted cheeses sandwiched between two cold, dry pieces of bread that had been put through a toaster long before they added the cold cheeses. It came with some chips some of which had green edges.

Fourth, the woman at the front desk for checkout was cold and surly. No smile or “thanks for staying, come again...”

This place has potential if they address these issues immediately.
