Owner description: For 50 years this stately and historic depot served as a major hub for transcontinental rail service. Today, it remains a monument to grand rail stations of the early 20th-century and includes four museums: the Utah State Railroad Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Browning Kimball Car Museum and the Browning Firearms Museum.

If you're in Ogden, you have to stop in here! Lovely building. There are volunteers to tell you the history. "Our" guy ( his name was something like Vern) he was amazing!! So knowledgeable and he took us outside to see the rail cars they are rehabilitating. Amazyto think of the people and goods that came thru there. And WW2 history. Incredible stories. The interior has cool tile work. There are a few small museums but we didn't go in. It was a little on the late side and those do cost some money. If you go and wander inside-there's donation can at the gift shop-please toss in a few bucks to keep the place going. It's really lovely.

I was very impressed with all of the things to look at. It really is amazing to learn the history of the train. My children love the play and learn area. We enjoyed the experience and I'm still amazed at the size of some of these trains.

Good old time museum with full size trains outside and an extensive museum inside explaining the building and challenges of building the cross country Railroad System. Also inside are the Browning Gun museum, A Rodeo museum, and an Art Gallery.

Wonderful museum! Historic trains, firearms, rodeo and cars! Also, a changing art exhibit. Just to sit in the main concourse and imagine the building in it's heyday!

This museum works very well with the Golden Spike Monument run by the National Park Service just 1 hour away while looking at the railroad portion of the museum. The exhibits are well presented and we learned a bit about the building of the Transcontinental Railroad. I would plan to spend about 2 hours here at a minimum. There is plenty of free parking and the ticket prices are very reasonable.
