My wife and I traveled to Kanab for February's Hot Air Balloon Festival, and were delighted with our stay. The weather was fine for our trip, and our great location within walking distance of the balloon launch site, the BLM Museum and many downtown restaurants made everything convenient.

Laurel and Russell had lots of good tips for local sightseeing and even suggested a tour guide to take us to a local slot canyon which required heavy duty 4wd to access. He did a great job for us and for our two friends who came along.

The comfortable basement room offers a private entrance, large sitting room and private bath. Breakfasts were excellent. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed you both, and certainly hope to see you back someday. You barely scratched the surface of what this area has to offer. The naughty-loving puppy dogs send you their best, and Honey Bear apologizes for stealing...you know what. XO L & R

Can't say enough about Laurel and her home. Laurel can share the best hikes in the area, best restaurants and exciting things to do. She is a very kind and loving person. The accommodations are perfect. Great soft comfy bed, with your own living area and entrance. All the privacy you can ask for. Couldn't ask for a better host or place to stay.

Laurel, Russell, Shanti and Honey Bear were the greatest hosts on our recent vacation to Kanab. Laurel and Russell have welcoming and warm spirits that made us feel right at home. Their combined knowledge of the local events, adventures and eateries helped us find the perfect places to explore and enjoy while we visited. Laurel should start a restaurant her cooking is THAT good! We enjoyed every second of our stay, including the morning greetings and affection from Shanti and Honey Bear. Thank you all for making us feel comfortable and welcome in your home. We highly recommend staying here and we cannot wait to come back.

Room Tip: Cozy accommodations - only one suite available to rent but plenty of room for 1 to 4 persons.

We are Austrians living in Sweden and just came back home from a wonderful, 3 week trip to USA. We stayed at Savage Point 6 nights (18.6-24.6) and we all found it wounderful. This was absolute the best stay we had during our trip. Laurel, Russel (and of course little Shanti) were such nice hosts, very warm and welcoming. Both rums were very nice and charming. Wifi worked superb. We could use the wonderful garden, which we enjoyed very much after a tiring hiking day. We got so many exciting information about all the parks around and Kanab. The breakfast was fantastic, every day different and so good. Laurel was very flexible and helped us with lunch and breakfast boxes when we needed. We travelled in Nevada and California but Kanab was best!

Laurel and Russel (and of course little Shanti) were the best hosts to ring in the new year. With this being my first time heading into this area, both Laurel and Russel were a wealth of knowledge sending us off to the lesser known places. Their home is quaint and cozy and I highly recommend a night in their Finnish Sauna. Could not have asked for a better place to end a long day of seeing some of the most beautiful places in America. Peace, beauty and laughter.
