We stayed at the campground for three nights and we loved it. Only drawback is if you have a long tow behind spots are not big enough and leveling is difficult.

Apart from the lovely views of the lake, Quail Creek State Park maintains its grounds very well. The sites are a good distance away from one another so you have some privacy. Restrooms are clean. It's conveniently located approx 40 minutes away from Zion National Park. I would recommend this campground!

We stayed at the Quail Creek State Park Campground which is in the same location as the Reservoir. This campsite is VERY CLEAN!! Even the bathrooms were spotless. There isn't a lot of privacy between each campsite (trees, bushes, etc.) but there is plenty of space inbetween each site.

We arrived for a weekend and spent most of our time in Zion National Park which is roughly a 45 minute drive. It was much cheaper than the other sites that were closer to the South Entrance of Zion.

Be warned that showers are not located at this campsite! There are outdoor showers that are coin operated at the beach and used mainly to rinse off after swimming. We used a KOA campsite showers down the road (5min drive) which were nice. Bring a bathing suit because after a long day of hiking in August that reservior water feels amazing!

Three things to note: 1. If you are there during monsoon season (we were!) the tent site floods 2. There is very minimal shade and the tent warms up throughout the day 3. There IS a curfew...7AM to 9PM. If you miss the curfew you will not be able to get your car into the campsite but there is a way to exit anytime before or after the curfew.

Both this and the neighboring reservoir are top notch. Easy to find and within a short drive from both a fuel station and walmart on the local highway. Perhaps a five minute drive.
