Having arrived in the small but interesting town of Green River - Watermelon capital!
The motel is a throwback of motels that you used to see in every town.
The colourful character that greeted us in his nightgown and gave us great information on the town's restaurants.
Much appreciated
The room needed a good paint job but the bed was comfortable.
Liked the table to sit and read, eat or write a letter

The only drawback was the bath took forever to empty out

A good cheap alternative to Moab and it's crazy prices

Close to the Arches national park and Canyonlands

If you're a hotel snob, keep looking. If you want an inexpensive place to rest after a day on the road, this is the place.

It's dated & worn, to be sure, and I had my misgivings when we pulled up. However, the manager (who has a rather wild man look about him) was friendly, showed us to our room & waited until we'd looked at it and were satisfied.

The room could have been cleaner, and there was no clock, cups or coffee pot, but it had a fridge and microwave. Linens were all clean.

Breakfast was cereal, a variety of breads, jellies & peanut butter, fresh blueberry muffins, and pretty good coffee. No place to eat said breakfast, as it's served in the lobby, which is very small, and the breakfast items are strewn about haphazardly.

Price, comfort & nice staff make this a place we'd probably stay again.

The gentleman at the front desk is a riot. Fun to be around. Kind hearted man. Fridge in the room. Free WiFi. No pool. good place to stay in a very small town. Free breakfast, fresh blueberry muffins, coffee, toast and cereal. Would stay here again. Close to Arches National Park. Quiet little town.

Found this place on bookings.com. Pleasantly surprised by the friendly inn keeper. He is quite the character. Greeted us, helped us park our RV and made yummy homemade blueberry muffins in the morning. The room was clean, great pressure in the shower and comfortable bed. All the things you want in a cheap motel and more.

We booked through Priceline.com and it should not even be listed. We were going to arrive late and called ahead. We were told Rm.#7 would be ours and the key left in the lock, it was, so were the other people staying in the room. Wayne knew this and said he waited up as he was going to change our room. He was not only rude but looked like someone who had been living on the street and had open sores on his hands. The room was filthy, uncomfortable bed and the hot water immediately went ice cold as soon as anyone flushed a toilet. Needless to say we did not stay for breakfast. DO NOT stay here. I've stay in very poor 3rd world countries where the conditions were so much cleaner.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.
