Description: "The gastropub movement is well-represented on South Padre Island at Padre Island Brewing Company. Rotating draft selections include several styles of handcrafted suds; Texas Long Board Lager, Tailing Red Amber, and Speckled Trout Stout are among my favorites, when available. If you can’t make up your mind, get the “Sampler Tray,” a tasting of all five beers currently on tap. The menu is extensive—“peel and eat” shrimp, spicy wings, and fried calamari are popular appetizers, as are the chips-and-guacamole combo, ceviche, and nachos. The bar has won an award for its pizza, but I recommend the burgers. If you’re really hungry, order the Texas Burger, a double-patty, one-pound monster topped with jalapenos, mushrooms, and cheese. From the seafood menu, beer-battered shrimp is an obvious choice, and the tuna and flounder are also excellent." From Texas Highways Magazine, June 2015

Go here. It is good beer good food. Have a flight you get to try all beers. Brew master is from Minnesota. Onion rings were the size of doughnuts. Highly recommend

After all the years we have been coming down here it is like meeting with family and friends when we have the good fortune to return. These guys know your name and seem genuinely pleased to see us!

The beers are yummy and believe me when I say we know our craft beers in WI. This years special has been the Kemps Ridley bock and it is a beer that both dark beer fans and all others will enjoy. Totally tasty.

The fresh oysters have been terrific as is all the seafood. I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and have enjoyed every bite of every meal. Happy hour appetizers can be made into dinner and dinner is a feast some of which ends up at home and serves as a great lunch the next day.

For great food, friendly service and fun this is one not to be missed!

My family and I visited this place for the first time during Spring Break 2018. We found the food to be delicious and the atmosphere inviting. I ordered a beer sampler and enjoyed all of their brews except for the porter as porters and stouts are not my thing. The wait staff was friendly and courteous. My wife and I agreed we will return here on our next trip to South Padre.

This is a restaurant with many beer choices & a range of medium priced food entrees. The raw oysters are lovely - very clean and a “happy hour” special- .50 per. Also delightful is the tuna (shishimi) salad. The service was great.
