Peggy and I had lunch here midway through our Spring Break stay on SPI. We were seated quickly. The crowd looked like a lot of locals, most drinking tea on their lunch hour.
I tried the beer flight. All five beers were up to my expectations, and the samples were larger than I usually see. The Cascade hops in the pale ale were just strong enough. The wheat didn't leave an after-taste, which I appreciated since I don't much care for wheat beer. The stout and the Bock both were good, but my favorite was the blonde - definitely beer but not too hoppy.
Peggy had the fish po-boy and I had the shrimp po-boy. Both were very tasty and good- sized sandwiches. She had roasted potatoes with hers and I had Cole slaw with mine. Hers was ok; I really enjoyed the slaw - very creamy.
This is a pleasant place. Good atmosphere and good service.
