Food is great! But....we visit Jalapeno Tree at least once a month & have noticed one bartender cannot keep up. Last night we waited more than 10 minutes at the bar to be greeted & then waited longer to order a drink. One bartender cannot handle making drinks for entire restaurant, the patrons at the bar, AND handle the drive through.... on a Saturday night??? ...Meanwhile two managers 'standing' together talking & watching the restaurant tables. No manager was watching the bar. Bartender must be new, she not only measures each alcohol pour (which may be required by management), but also measures other drink ingredients......his slows her down & also makes restaurant look 'cheap.' At $7.75 for a margarita I think they could spare a few extra drops of ingredients, if they served faster, the customer might have time to drink TWO drinks instead OF not getting the first drink until 2 minutes before the food arrives, which is very annoying. We have experienced this on several occasions.

Hi Tamara -

Thanks for your review. We're happy to hear that you're generally a fan of ours and a frequent guest but we hate to hear that you have consistently been disappointed by our bar service... They have the best tortilla around east Texas. It is served together with the drinks if you want to. I ask for honey when it is served because I poured some on it before rolling it and eat it like a fajita, only that it has no other filling but honey. Their black beans and sautéed vegetables are the best sides for me. The manager is a really nice lady, she tries to visit each table and refill your drinks when you need one. Fajita price is a little bit higher than Posados.

Great Tex Mex', chips and 2 kinds of salsa. Strong AC. May need a jacket. Self serve soft freeze ice cream was the best chocolate one I had ever had.. Were meeting family members that took an hour for us to get there or I would go every week.. For being a Large Monday night crowd, I assume a lot of folks do!

we both had the jalisco, which is a chicken breast with spinach, mushrooms, cheese and some type of sauce. it was wonderful, chips were warm fresh, salsa was excellent. really liked the white salsa, could use some fresh jalapeños in it. this place wa s great, if we r near mineola and have a hankering for Mexican food, we will stop.
