First time to eat here. We were there about 3pm on Saturday. We had to wait for a table and over 45 minutes for our burgers and blt. They were good handmade patties and the fries and onion rings were good, but not sure worth the wait standing around in the way. Will give it another try

Yes, we had a very busy holiday weekend and we thank you for your patience and apologize for the longer than normal wait times. We look forward to your next visit! And again, this little mom and pop appreciates your support. Nick

Being from the east coast, Minneola, TX is exactly how I pictured a small Texas town. East Texas Burger was on one of the main streets that featured lots of small interesting shops, and antique stores. Great atmosphere, with reviews written on napkins tacked to the walls. Very cool! We placed our order at the counter and then sat and our meals were delivered by staff to our table. Some of us ordered their child size burgers, which were quarter pounders, plenty big for us. One of us ordered the grilled chicken burger which was a half breast, tender and well seasoned. Waffle fries, onion rings, and homemade chips were all yummy! The staff checked on us more than once to see whether we needed anything. We were so full that we had to go shop for a while before going back later for dessert.
When we returned we noticed that there was another room to dine in as well, but we sat in the room where we had eaten lunch. They are famous for their fried pies, but we chose the tuxedo cake, lemon meringue pie, and a kind of chocolate fudge mousse pie. They were all delicious ! And the staff was awesome, even brought an extra piece of pie, because they thought the first piece was a little too small! Who does that these days? A small Texas town with a big heart! I’m already thinking of what I’ll try for dessert when I come back next year!

The burger was very good as were the fries. It took almost 25 minutes to get our hamburger from when we ordered it. All the desserts they advertised, fried panels, homemade pies, etc. they did not have at 5 PM. The beans are only available from 11 to 3P. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

Bob, Glad that you enjoyed and thought our burgers and fries were very good, as we cook everything fresh to order. We make pies fresh daily and at times we are sold out, so sorry you didn't get to enjoy them on your visit. The beans are free and we also, make them fresh daily and when they're out there out. Ken

Was there for Iron Horse Days and stopped in for a quick bite. The place was a zoo, but food and service was excellent. Had a bacon cheese burger with the works - so full, I did not have to eat dinner that evening, nor did I want to

I was exploring Mineola with my friend and enjoying the quaint local shops. Stopped here for lunch. I had a good burger with hand cut fries, wished there would have been a bit bigger serving of the fries. My friend's plate had a beautiful side of fresh fruit salad! We ate on the Waffletta side because its full service. The resturants are open to each other share the same owner. Friendly wait staff. Prices were reasonable.

We are so glad you explored Mineola shopping and stopped at ETBC and LaWa to have lunch to experience the service options we offer and the variety of menu items to make everyone in the group happy! If it is the hand-cut fries you would enjoy more of, please try a large order, I am sure that will be more to your liking. Ken
