“Stunning accommodation”

Just arrived back home after staying 4 nights at The Snug . On arrival we were met by Lisa who had all the information we needed for our stay. The Snug is in perfect condition and has everything you need for your stay. We usually stay in hotels but The Snug puts many a hotel to shame. The cleanliness is 1st class. Thanks for your hospitality Lisa . Definite 4 star accommodation . All being well we will return.

“Amazing Place”

Absolutely amazing little place, everything you need when you arrive, anything you haven't got, then the owners will do what they can to help you.
We arrived very late on our first night, from the flight being delayed, but the owner waited up until our arrival, and made sue we had everything.
Knowing we were being taken out and about by a local guide, she even gave us midge headnets to make sure we were comfortable, now that's what you call service

The Snug is beautifully presented with the bedroom behind the living room, which is lovely with the log burner kicking out some heat. It was awesome for drying out our very sodden clothes after being caught in one of Skye's 4 seasons in one day days.

“Fantastic Cottage, Stunning Location!”

WOW, what a fantastic place this is, everything was just perfect.

In the weeks leading up to our stay Lisa gave us some great recommendations regarding places to eat (and ones that require advance bookings) and places to visit.

The Snug has everything you could ever need for a luxurious and romantic stay including a fully accessorised kitchen, very powerful shower, leather sofa and pretty much the comfiest bed I have ever slept in! The fluffy towels and robes were a really nice touch.
With its glorious views we could not fault the quiet location for exploring the Northern part of beautiful Skye.

A very nice welcome pack greeted us including bacon, milk, bread, butter and fresh eggs laid by Lisa’s hens which were greatly received during the week. Also available in the Snug were OS maps of the area, books with walk suggestions, games, wildlife books and an iPod dock to play music.

Lisa’s knowledge of the island was great in recommending places to visit no matter what the weather threw at us.

The Edinbane Inn 2 miles away serves great local food & ales and has live music twice a week.

A couple of tips if you like seafood:

1) A visit to nearby Loch Bay Seafood restaurant is a must. Fabulous food and atmosphere from a very small family run establishment. Bookings are essential 2-3 weeks in advance.
2) The Oyster shed in Carbost (by the distillery) sells, amongst other produce, fresh shellfish including whole lobsters, crab claws, langoustines, massive scallops, mussels and, not surprisingly, oysters. There’s an oyster shucker in The Snug so you can take them back for tea.

A fabulous stay, thanks again to Lisa for making us feel at home and I’m sure we’ll be back very soon.

“Wonderful stay in a very cosy cottage”

I spent a wonderful 4 days with my boyfriend here this month. The weather was not the best, but Lisa was very welcoming & gave us great advice about things to do & places to go. She provided a welcome pack with lots of helpful information, plus some food basics to get us started.

The cottage itself is beautiful, and extremely well-equipped - there was literally nothing we wanted that wasn't already provided. The kitchen has all the cooking equipment you'd need including a slow-cooker & vegetable steamer! There is a cosy fire to curl up next to on the rainy days; and we slept fantastically here due to the combination of blackout curtains and an incredibly comfy bed.

We loved our stay here & would definitely stay again!

“This is your home in Skye.”

We only stay here for three nights. but the view, the environment and equipment are perfect. We looked for a clean and comfortable accommodation. The Snug is over our expectation. The host is kind and they could provide you super fresh eggs!!!
