Food was great at this hotel went all inclusive fantastic value for money . Very close to beach. Pleasant staff . Very helpfully at reception . Good evening entertainment . Very enjoyable stay. Lovely pool areas. Very quiet hotel , which is what we like just read our books which we left behind for others to read. No down sides other than local shop across the way girl that served us in the shop not very helpfull my husband wanted cigarettes and we asked for change for the machine they had in the shop and she said no could not believe it!,! Still perhaps she was anti smoking . Weather was fine good holiday

Room tip: Try gold for all inclusive think the room would be better we went bronze ,and was ok a little tired october 2011

We spent a week in the Beverly Park hotel beginning of December to celebrate my birthday.
Staff were very hard working and friendly, always ready to help.
Hotel and surroundings very clean. Restaurant busy, but great choice of food.
In fact the only worries during our week were: what to eat, where to sunbathe - pool or beach.
Very relaxing holiday. Can definately recommend this hotel.

Room tip: Book a room with a sea view as we were over the front of the hotel and therefore facing the motorway. Not noisy but no sun at all on the balcony during our week in december.

My hoiday experience at Beverley Park Hotel was such that I would recommend to anyone seeking a November hol in Gran Canaria. Situated at the western end of Playa del Engles the hotel is close to every local amenity from bars to bus stations with a commanding situation near the beaches and promenades.
Reception for me was a very fast and pleasant experience and I found staff there extreemely helpful throughout my stay. Several lifts to the seven floors but those on lower floors had easy stairs to their rooms.

My room faced the mountains and there was plenty of traffic on the main roads past the hotel. This was expected and as a single traveller didnt bother me at all. My advise would be to book a room on the pool and beaches side of the Beverly Park which would afford a guest a quiet stay.

My room had its own balcony which was large and had patio table and chairs it was twin bedded and had ample storage areas and furniture. Bed was extreemely comfortable and the maid service way way beyond expectation. Towels changed every two days and the bedsheets changed mid week of your stay. Excellent bathroom with bidet WC bath with overhead shower. The showerhead was a little ancient but I am sure that if I could have been bothered to ask it would have been changed for me. (I as far more interested in taking full advantage of the late Nov early Dec sunshine 25c most days)

The Beverly Park had a really large restaurent with several sizes of table to accodate different numbers of guests. On entering you registered your room number with member of staff then found a suitable table. The restaurent served buffet style meals with a stunning selection of food on offer would advise an early sitting when choices were always best. Being half board I took advantage of the restaurant bar where wine beer was served at reasonable cost. Would presume All Inclusive clients had different arrangements.

The Beverly Park had several bars poolside and in doors and there were very pleasant lounge areas with card tables comfy furniture for relaxing after a hard day on the beach.

Evening entertainment was of the usual hoiday type children had their spot at 9pm each evening.

I have a few recommendations for my fellow countrymen from what I gleaned from local sources.
British clients tend to pack the hotel in July and August when I would presume the food on offer would lean towards British taste. Our German friends tend to make for Playa del Engles in the latter part of the year as was in the week I stayed there. So the food did lean towards the German palet. I always found a good variety of goodies to sample especially the yummy sweets.
Another thing to remember is that the Hotel opperates a NO SMOKING BAN IN ALL ROOM AND PUBLIC AREAS WITHIN THE HOTEL (RESTAURANT BAR LOUNGE RECEPTION)
Smoking was permitted in outsde bars and terraces and ample seating and sunbeds with tables and ashtrays provided.

Gran Canaria is a lovely place to visit and the people who ran the hotel on a daily basis were to be congratulated for making my stay so enjoyable.

Room tip: Choose a beach side room

I have decided to do this hotel review in sections from arriving and leaving and each individual area of the hotel. Arrived 12.30 reception really nice people we were staying all inclusive so we got our bands as normal and had to wait till 2.30 to get the room as it was not ready so we headed for the outside area to the pool bar and tried to get a drink. So we asked for 2 beers and a coke for my son and we got the beers poured and then came the card please what card i have no card no card no drink but Im all inclusive just arrived he looked at me and shrugged and said nothing just left drinks on bar area I was like why am I wearing a wrist band that says I'm all inclusive and this rude bar man is demanding a card he gave us the drinks well I took them little while later my son was hungry so the food was been served and he went over to get some thinking you can just order from the chef that was cooking burgers etc which were not apatizing the hamburgers were raw inside and the hot-dogs were passable just so yippee we found some food for him to eat but my son quite liked them and there were cold sandwiches and some toasties my son is 10 and he got the same treatment card I need your card I HAD TO GO AGAIN AND SAY WE HAVE NO CARD WE HAVE NO ROOM YET! what is wrong with these people same happened again when we went for a drink so bad start really the pool bar staff were very rude I think because we were BRITISH. So we get the room we had booked a sea view and we got on the balcony is very small and you feel like you in a cage but the view of the Atlantic was what we wanted we were 7 floors up and it took me a while to stop the vertigo but I was OK as long as I was sat down. Just to mention get a sea view as the other rooms are depressing on the other side car park view no sun due to all the trees.
The room.
Very small to say they were 3 Of us 3 beds cramped into a small room the TV was a old portable no channels on it apart from BBC World new which repeats over and over so that went off no music channels to say they state they have satalite tv this is not to our standard anyway. The room has like awful white walls bit like we had in the 70's and grubby too in places plus on the ceilings old ceiling tiles so dread to think what would happen if there were a fire bit of updating needed big style the room was cleaned OK but the cleaners came in to our room twice at 9 am in the morning and we were still in bed not good why not buzz the room it has a buzzer outside instead of just walking in or even have a sign to put on the door like most hotels have do not disturb and yes you can clean the room not hard probably too much expense the bathroom had a shower ha ha what a joke the water was luke warm with cold now and then and came out at snails pace there is no hair dryer the fan did not work and grubby tiles on the roof with mould on too just really not clean. The rooms have carpet in them which in places is tired and stained and on our floor on an evening you could small sewage every night.

Food.
Well were can I start the restaurant they were waiting to get in DON'T FORGET YOUR CARD OR YOU CANNOT GO IN we went first night we got in then no where to sit tables were not cleared staff rude and ignorant you have to wait for it once you are in you have to produce your card to get a drink yet again what a joke. the food is well I would not give it to the pigs! fish and wait for it more fish and chicken legs in an awful gravy nothing but chips for my son which were terrible been sat there for ages so do not take kids here if they like cold salad squid in gravy like stew then they will be OK but they will have to eat it every day your there I was hoping there may be a bit of pizza but none in sight we went back to try the restaurant again and it was the same food so we ate out after that it was not appealing at all we found a great restaurant with lots of variety and entertainment Elvis Michael Jackson a great acrobatic show too they were friendly and just a great restaurant all round it is in the shopping plaza which is to the right of the hotel up some steps check it out. So back to the hotel the bar staff were rude all of them apart from one Antonio he was happy and enjoyed his job the rest well they need a career change they were so unhappy and treated the British with disrespect.
Entertainment
A man on a piano most night did not stay in went out but was nothing to write home about kids entertainment terrible poor girl trying her best.

Pools
Well we did not go in the pools at the front all were ice cold we had a laugh watching people get in and desperation trying to get out as they were not heated my partner put his foot in and it went numb and they did not look nice a bit grubby again

Drinks
Beer was like water spirits be careful paint stripper and if you have too many bad head in the morning the wine forget it coffee was average out of a machine.

Breakfast
Did not attend after first morning it was like a zoo utter madness it was like fighting to the death to get food amongst the unorganized staff and clearing of tables fight for your table no sorry too much for me in the morning I like to relax and the waiters were rude and stressed out and ratty too isn't a holiday suppose to be relaxing this place will stress you out they need more qualified staff

Also it would help if the hotel gave you a map of all location in the hotel otherwise you will be walking around for ever trying to find everything

Over all please do not go all Inclusive to this hotel it is the worst I have ever been in and do not advise it at all there must be better hotels than this they do everything on the cheap and it is shabby too just a nightmare holiday and was glad to be home one couple we spoke to she had lost weight on holiday with the standard and choice of food this hotel is a NO NO!!!

Room tip: choose a different hotel

Nice clean and large hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and very happy. There was a lot of Germans staying but that didn't put us off. Not many English. Pools were clean and jacuzzi. Bar area was also clean. We went half board and the food was great lots to choose from whether your English or not. The rooms were of a good standard and very clean. Cleaned every day towels changed every 2 days which was fine. A short walk from hotel got you to the shopping area as we was there for 5 days only didn't explore much further. Transfer time was 30 mins and direct.
