just back yesterday from the bon repos ,lovly hotel but there s a few thing s they need to sort about it , supposed to be a relaxing hotel there was no peace around the pool area for loud horrible music it went on all day even up on the terrace there was speakers there not as loud as the pool area but annoying , the room was lovly no complaints there got cleaned every day ,but wee had to pay $20 for the remote control for the tv got the money back when wee left but still not right that especially when wee had a delux room ,i booked the delux cause i thought there would be extras in it but none, was dissapointed there was no fridge , the staff have alot to be desired they were so serious no holla from them only if you said it first , this is a lovly looking hotel so if they want 100% from travellers they ll need to get a few thing s sorted out especially that loud music all day ,

Room Tip: you need to request a room with a balcony its a must

We stayed at this lovely little hotel for 15days, using a easy jet holiday, which was a good price. We usually go self catering, so it was a bit of a shock to the system at first, getting used to the usual hotel noises and having only a room and bathroom, we paid extra for a balcony with a bit of a view looking out to sea. This was great but tricky when others, who smoke, used their balconies either side of us!
TV was also tricky as the sound traveled and you could hear your neighbours one so they could hear yours. Not good at 3am !
Having said this, we found the staff excellent, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic, but sufficient - still we took our own wheatbix and Worcestershire sauce !! (Fussy Brits!)
Santa Ponsa, is a great place to chill out, nice beaches and lots of shops and cafes.
If you like snorkelling then go to Peguera, the next bay is really good, clear water, lots of fish, plus lots more shops etc.
For a real boat experience take the bus to El Toro, they have an amazing Marina there with shops and restaurants, cafes etc, plus lovely beach!
We found the buses excellent and cheap also everywhere was very clean.
Highly recommend private taxi to and from airport - well worth the extra money.
Decided self catering is much better!!

Room Tip: Rooms that look towards the sea are the best, not the biggest, as they have the best view.

My wife and myself stayed at the Bon Repos in Mid September, I had booked a chill out room at the bottom of the Hotel, this room had access to the gardens shared by the 7 level 1 rooms, the gardens are will maintained and have sun beds, Bali beds and a hot tub. The chill out rooms have a fridge and a bigger tv, and a bigger shower than the other rooms, i'll tell you how I know this in a moment. Shorty before our trip my wife had been in hospital, so when we arrived, the steps to the lower level were a bit to much for her, we did know about the steps but hoped she would be able to cope, we were only at the hotel for 3 nights and the hotel was pretty full, but for the last night staff moved out room to the 4th floor, which is the same level as the pool, so much easier for my wife, and maybe in fact a better view than when we were by the gardens, room 404 was bigger than our room downstairs, room 101, but with no fridge and a smaller tv, we didn't check what was on the TV as we were on holiday. I have to say the staff at this very chilled out hotel were wonderful and very friendly, as we the guests when we were there, everyone said hello to each other and had little chats. We had the included breakfast each day that was perfectly fine, lovely eating it out on the terrace in beautiful surroundings, we will most certainly being coming back to this hotel, it was our first time in Santa Ponsa and we loved it

Simple adults only hotel based at the quieter end of Santa Ponsa.
Good restaurants close by.
Staff very friendly, caring and helpful.
Great bar staff and receptionists.
Room cleaned daily and towels every two days.
No need to put a towel on a sun lounger we always found two, but as per the normal there is always the towels that sit all day with no one anywhere near them.
Nice bar area with free wifi.
Yes the walls are a bit thin granted, but we had room 402 (ground floor) straight down from reception and next to the bar area, and free wifi as it's close to the bar area!!
The noise wasn't that bad, yes we heard the bell at reception and the piped music from the bar, but that would not stop us booking again.
ALL hotels have noise, whether that's the slamming of doors, lifts, reception, residents, drunkenness etc
All in all a great hotel. If the site would allow 4.5 starts that would be my rating

Room Tip: Choose a balcony room, this overlooks the pool

We stayed at this hotel for 10nights with Jet2 and booked a superior double. I was expecting something tangible for our extra £90 but the room was nothing special - garden view with a bit of sea, small balcony with a couple of chairs and a table, bathroom with shower and one soap/shower gel dispenser and in the room was limited storage (but this is common in holiday hotels). And no fridge! Crazy! Aircon was great, shower was brilliant - nice spacious cubicle and very powerful- maybe this is what the extra money was for? If you pay extra for a chill out room then you get access to the ground floor gardens (which looked lovely) - if not, then you are on the sun terrace or round the pool. We never had any problems getting a sunbed but then we were up about 8ish every day, as, has been previously mentioned, the walls of this hotel are not well insulated. The sounds between adjoining rooms really travels- our neighbours had their TV on all the time they were in the room and I could work out what they were watching! No noise from the rooms above or below though... the beds are really comfy, but it is 2 singles which slide apart!
Breakfast was fine but after 5 days of continent we went in search of a cooked breakfast
We had lunch at the hotel most days - lovely baguette and fries for around 8euros, which we shared.
The sun terrace is great but you can feel a bit crowded... the pool is small but works fine as a cool off, but the shower is next to a table at the cafe, so you have to try not to wet the people having their lunch!
Free wifi in the bar but only in the bar- everywhere else you have to pay for it but we didn't bother. Seems a bit mean to charge for wifi...
It's a great location for food - try Magrats for proper tapas, fat sams for burgers and meson del mar for a stunning se view and sunset!
So, did I enjoy my stay? Absolutely! Would I stay here again? Probably not...
