A slightly tired apartment but for 60.00 a night 15.00 pp you cant get a hostel for that.
Everything you could possibly need clean sheets lots of towels and if you needed anything Piedad would supply.
I like cooking and she gave me some flour for my white bait , and also salt ,I lost from trolley.
Apartment is overlooking the pool and very well kept gardens beautiful to wake up to.
5 mins from the fabulous Moorish built marina, lots of bars and restaurants and fish to feed.
Boat trip to go on is at the bottom, the company is called star fish its two hrs long and we saw dolphins get the 10.30am less people on it and perhaps the dolphins like the earlier start.
Paloma park also 5 mins walk the other way is stunning with a lovely lake, ducks turtles rabbits and lovely cafes and bars in all corners also on the other side is delphinarium , dolphins sea lions parrots penguins and in the reptile house look up and see two bats!!
Cable car to the top , at sun set preferably .
I would go again, great place to stay blending in with the Spanish.
My friend and I arrived a bit late approximately11.00pm our first impressions was disappointed.. the taxi dropped us off at front door which was in a very run down side street. The owner greeted us was very friendly and welcomed us. The reception area was merely a dark smelly hall with out of date furniture and very. depressing. On entering the property we were appalled at the number of locks grids and general lockup security to get in and out of our apartment it made us feel very unsafe.
The apartment itself could have been very nice as it was spacious and had nice view of the garden. It was very dated and old fashioned the table in the kitchen was merely an old plastic patio table. locks and shutters had to be pulled up to open the window the window in the bedroom was permanently dark as the shutters never went up. On arrival there was no sheets on the beds and no towels in the bathroom. The owner did bring them up to us later. so as well as being tired, hungry and disappointed we had to make up our own beds. The towels though clean were very worn and scratchy. The television was a dinosaur and only had Spanish stations. A notice on the door told us that UK stations were not available in Spain... they are if you have satellite which the ad said they had.
This was a budged apartment and was very cheap but I still think they could update the place a bit... but even then I wouldn't stay there didn't feel safe. coming in at night and fiddling around with locks and bolts and shutters, corridors were always deserted never met one other person staying there.
. We left after 3 days and moved into a hotel across the road. The area itself was excellent plenty of shops terreffic bars,i Mullarkeys n particular had terrific acts every night.
We would not recommend anyone our age. mid 60s or families, would be fine for young people who wouldn't be too particular.
