We live in Basel and thought it duly to only go an hour or so up the road for out babymoon, but we were not disappointed.

This place is 4 star, but the service is 5 star. The staff are great, the food too, the rooms adequate and the spa is great too.

Gluten free and organic to round it off. Can't wait to come back again.

This was the most gorgeous Mini Suite I ever stayed in. Fantastic equipment, Style and view. Excellent organic food. Outstanding service. The Gym and and Pool are great too. Electrical bicycles to rent completed the extraordinary experience. Not low prices but worth the money spend.

+ Very friendly and welcoming staff. We paid for a closed parking near the garage, but we believe most people parked in front of the hotel, in the open air. Nice (salt water) swimming pool! We enjoyed a really nice breakfast and dinner in the hotel.

- The location is very quiet (this might be a pro for some ofcourse). Most guests are rather old, therefore (?) the temperature in the whole hotel is rather high. Wifi stops at 11:00 p.m.: bedtime!
The hotel has an all-inclusive price which included all meals and snacks for the whole day, but since we didn't stay in the hotel all day, it made our stay quite expensive.

Stayed there 3 days in February, to enjoy walking around in the Black Forest. The town itself is quite small with only one store, a bank, a few hotels but it is quite relaxing.

The hotel is very enjoyable:
- nice and clean rooms, mine was decorated in a pale green;
- breakfast as well as dinner are excellent, with the pension you can be eating all day!
- nice spa area with a pool;
- the staff is efficient and pleasant.

So if in the area again I would stay there again.

We stayed at hotel Alpenblick during a short trip in January 2013.

Although the name made us imagine we would have a view on the Alps from the room, it wasn’t so but one street ahead, in the Panoramastraße, you can get a wonderful view on the mountains.

The hotel is an ideal getaway: we did nice walks in the Black Forest (the walks depart at the hotel), the hotel offered free Nordic walking initiation lessons and walks, the sauna and pool are very nice (and warm), the food is delicious and abundant and most of all: the personnel ALWAYS serves you with a smile. I had rarely seen such a friendly staff in Europe.
No need to bring your backpack or umbrella: the hotel lends them for free (we didn’t know this in advance.)

There’s free parking space in front of the hotel. No need to make a reservation. I highly doubt the hotel is reachable per public transport so you’ll surely need a car.

If you don’t understand German, you might have a hard time at hotel Alpenblick because ALL brochures, menus, explanations,.. were in German ONLY. It was clear to us that probably 99% of the hotel’s visitors must be German. We couldn’t understand everything on the menu and when we didn’t know what it was after having tasted it, then we wanted to Google it.
Unfortunately, the hotel’s free Wifi didn’t work on iPhone 5 (yet?) but luckily, the also had a laptop at the front desk that was available for free so we Googled the German food descriptions on that laptop. It’s funny when you’ve just eaten something that was delicious and you can’t imagine what it exactly was.

I was able to book the full pension at only 66 EUR per person per night through a promotional action from a Belgian travel agency but turns out the regular price would have been double. We surely wouldn’t have stayed at the regular fee but taken into account the promotional price we paid, this hotel was really very very good value for money.

If around, visit Titisee (lake Titi) it’s touristic, but beautiful. Rheinfall (the broadest waterfall in Europe) in Switzerland is also worth paying a visit (do take into account you’ll have to pay for a road tax sticker for the car upon entering Switzerland.)
