Great apartment, even worse Wifi than last visit. It's amazing how hotels and apartments don't see the importance of this in 2016. Maximum 3 connections for an apartment of 10 adults.

The rest of this text is only here to fill up the trip advisor 200 letter minimum - why?

Dear Gary D,
Thank you for your comment concerning the apartment.
Concerning the wifi connection, we are fully aware that the connection offered is poorer than in any big city or to what you are now used to. The mountain situation of our residence makes it very difficult to provide such a service. Local authority are still working on it, but it seems to be a hard and long work to have optical fiber passing through the mountain (literally !).
Best regards,
Marie Pierre Vandoorne

Decent accommodation in the mountains. Good bed. It's not a 5 star hotel, but the good atmosphere of the mountains. Grocery store is in town. Wifi is slow, limited to 3 users in an apartment and does not meet current requirements.

Dear Didos J,

really sorry not to have been able to meet your expected standards ; did you know that the closest supermarket is a 10 minutes walk in Reberty's area and a few others are located in the Croisette (anyway not that far from our residence, but this certainly dépends on everyone's habits...).
Despite these annoyances, we hope you enjoyed your skiing!

Best regards,

Valérie Cecutti

Very spacious well equipped apartment. We where a family of 7 adults staying in a apartment to sleep 9. It was on the second floor and split over three levels inside. We had a lockable store outside our apartment where you could store skis overnight. On entry we had a double room the sheet did have a stain on it, a twin room, a shower room with toilet and a bathroom with over bath shower and toilet, under the stairs two lots of heated ski boot racks but only one socket so only one could be on at a time.Up a flight of steps to the lounge/dinner with a log burner with a small bag of logs but nothing to lite it with, balcony looking out onto the mountain it would have been nice to have a few more chairs, also a very well equipped kitchen (we only struggled with the tin opener) and a single bedroom another flight of stairs led to a further two spacious twin rooms with en suite showers and a shared toilet. On arrival the beds where made and the apartment was acceptable clean. It was nice mid week to receive clean towels, bin bags and more loo rolls. Wifi is restricted to three different logins per apartment at any one time, it slowed down in the evenings but if your up and about in good time its no problem on a morning, We used the hot tub, sauna and steam room daily as a private party and would recommend it, only negative is finding privacy to get changed, hot drinks are complimentary in the leisure area. Bakery service is available daily and is delivered between 7-8 simply order the night before, we forgot one evening and was glad of our telephone reminder from reception. The ski hire shop on site is well priced you get 30% discount if your staying on site, one of our party left their ski helmet and goggles in the shop on our last day but they promptly handed it into reception who are now packaging it up for us and forwarding it on to the uk. We all had a lovely holiday and will return to Les Montagnettes.

OK, perhaps I should have read the TA reviews in more detail than just believed the brochure and website, but this should have been a much much better experience.

We were a group of 9 who rented a 5-bed chalet in what is essentially an enclave of apartments above the Les Menuires resort. The location is super because Les Men is designed as a ski-in/ski-out resort anyway, the facilities in the apartment are good, the kitchen is small and a little cramped but not a big deal for us, we didn't actually switch on the TV, the ski locker is good, the view is good,

However there are a few negatives. The WiFi has already been written about in TA but not on the chalet brochure or website. A max of 3 simultaneous WiFi connections with a terrible handover from one device to another, to a group of 9 people, each of us with 2 or 3 devices does not make for a happy household. "Have you finished with the WiFi yet ?" was the most common question asked, and when you did get a connection then it was back to the 2000s. We didn't may more than five grand for a week for that service, and for me, that loses a star rating. The lame excuse given by the proprietor to a previous TA review that it was the fault of the valley, just served to annoy me even more. Grrrr.

Second negative is the location is very pretty, but the nearest shop is quite a walk away, or a ski down and a lift (Les Montaignettes) back up. So apart from the morning bread delivery, plan your shopping carefully as this place is isolated. Related to location is the silly arrangement about booking skis and boots. We booked then through the chalet.eu website which has a deal with (I think) Sport 2000, which is down in Les Men village. We lost close to 2 hours on the first morning discovering this the hard way, yet there is a ski rental place 2 minutes away which doesn't have the deal with our booing company but does seem to have a deal with the chalet owners. Go figure, but its a mess, and should be fixed.

Finally ... the charge of €80 for parking 2 cars outside the chalet, in the open (i.e. uncovered), on what looks like a public road, is the most cynical example of money-grabbing that a ski resort can have. Yes, I know, we should have driven a couple of hundred meters up the road and parked there but there are so many things to be thinking of.

All the positives from other reviewers I would agree with but the ski rental, distance to shops (because it isn't said on the website/brochure) and the parking charge combine to lose another star and it could so easily have been a loss of 2 stars so, generously, I'm leaving it with a 3 star rating.

Dear Alan S,
We thank you for your review and we are pleased to read you appreciated your holidays in les Menuires.
However, it seems that you reserved through an agency because we haven’t got any brochure and on our website, you are informed about WIFI, Ski shop and parkings’ places prices in our residence.
Indeed, one wifi connection is included (not 3) but it’s true that our valley is not equipped to satisfy such a lot of visitors in high season and that why we and the community council are still looking for a more convenient technical solution. But I am afraid that it will take long before mountain villages and resorts have the same facilities as in big cities.
The residence is located, as you mentioned it, ski in-ski out, in a calm area, just above the main center of the resort. It takes 10-15 minutes walking down by the pedestrian track to join its commercial center and its lively pubs and restaurant.
You can also use the free shuttles going round the resort every 20 minutes if you don’t want to walk.
In our web site, you can find a map of les Menuires with the exact location of our residence. It’s a pity you went to the center to rent your ski equipment as there is a Sport 2000 Ski Shop in the residence, as mentioned in our website .
The parking is payable in the residence in order to organize it and assure a private space for our guests. We regulate the numbers of cars in case of emergency but we let the possibility to park cars on the public road start above the residence (2 minutes’ walk) and the parking is allowed and free.

We had our vacation this February in les montagnettes.
The employees are very kind and helpful. Location is great as you can immediately go on slopes. Rooms are cozy and have good view.
Will recommend to everyone!
