The epic 7km Aiguille Rouge piste is one of the highlights of Les Arcs and it ends in the pretty village of Villaroger (there is also a lovely, winding 4km blue run called Lys leading the same way). And tucked away amid a row of stone farmhouses is La Ferme, a traditional mountain restaurant that offers both table service and a self-service counter. There were ten of us so we went self-service and ate outside on the terrace. Everyone agreed that the food was excellent and two members of the party said that the potato boulangere was the best they'd ever eaten! Plan your day and ski to Villaroger for lunch.
