Good value, fantastic staff, great holiday

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 8 Jan 2011
My friends and I booked a skiing holiday with Skitopia after finding a fantastic deal on the internet; we were not disappointed. This hotel has charm and a great atmosphere with a fantastic bar. Our rooms were cleaned thoroughly everyday and hotel was almost spotless. The food was well cooked with a wide range of dishes throughout the week; including plenty of wine.
Le Lievre Blanc was an easy 5-10 minute walk from the slopes and the town contained many bars/ pubs for apres-skiing.
The young staff added to the hotel's charm by being enthusiastic, helpful and very friendly. They knew the area well and were able to recommend the best skiing areas and restaurants up the mountain.
This hotel is great value for money. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants an easy, relaxing holiday with their friends and family.

I travelled with a large group to Serre Chevalier in January 2011 and stayed for one week at Hotel Le Lievre Blanc. The hotel was great for a large group with a spacious dining area, lounge and bar for evening drinks. The staff were always friendly and available to help with any requests. The ski fit service is in-house meaning there are no lengthy trips into town to change boots or skis. The food was outstanding and of good restaurant quality. The rooms are clean and comfortable and are perfectly adequate for the requirements of a ski holiday. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The Lievre Blanc is a great place to spend your holiday with your family. It's only a few minutes from the slopes. It's an old building and has a great atmosphere. Very helpfull and friendly employees and the food was fantastic! (fresh croissants, healthy meals and lovely desserts) We've had no troubles with the heating or cold showers whatsoever and we've really enjoyed our drinks in the bar next to the fireplace.

I stayed at the LB last year, thought they were converting it so didnt write at the time but see its open again this year so just booked again, still has a 30% discount running at the min which is excellent. All inclusive under 600!
If youre looking for a 5 star hotel this isnt it but if you want access to amazing pistes and a bus to take you to more then this is the place. Staff were amazing. Knew the place inside and out and were happy to show us around. We went as a group of friends which is probably the best way. The electrics were tempremental but didnt care once the fires were lit in the bar and lounge and it was a talking point. Room was basic but warm and clean with ensuite.
People were friendly, not just the staff, was like high class back packing. If you dont mind it rough around the edges this is a great hotel. But if you expect more for your money then maybe not.

    I will keep it simple.
If you are skiing on a budget and decide to stay at this hotel then it is perfect (we booked through Skitopia and had no problems),
The rooms are fairly basic BUT clean, tidy and warm.
The food is again fairly simple but filling as an morning/evening meal (Plenty of places to eat out if needs be)
Downstairs you have a bar with open fire and a games room with tv and another open fire.
Staff are really friendly and helpful.
The only real downside we found was the location of the hotel, it is a 5-10 minute walk away from the slopes which doesnt sound much but walking in ski boots can be a pain in the backside. (There is a local road train that will take you to and from the resort for free but we didnt come across any timetable for it so it was just sheer luck if we caught it or not as it passed through the village)
Once again this is a hotel for people on a budget, dont expect 5* quality.
Oh and just to mention the skiing is awsome all week.
