I come to Houston a few times each year for business. When I do, I have to confess I try to book my hotel based on proximity to Irma's. It's just that good.
First of all, they don't do menus. Call it a gimmick, try not to get annoyed, just accept it and trust me that the food is worth it and the service is so good that you don't NEED a menu.
I ate there last night, and the food was great. I had the fish tacos along with queso. The tacos were big, and seasoned well. Fish tasted fresh and had a good flakey flavor.
I also had a margarita. This is one of my top 5 margaritas ever. And I live in Texas. And love Mexican food.
Bottom line - Irma's never disappoints. It's a great place to eat in Houston.
