“Perfect Getaway!”
Reviewed 15 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

My wife and I were looking to escape the crowded busyness of city life when we stumbled upon this listing on Trip Advisor. We arrived in the evening, and were taken back by the peaceful coziness of the cottage and location. We were woken the first morning by a sunrise that was nothing short of breathtaking. The pictures provided displayed a calming natural serenity that was exponentially greater in person! The owners of this lovely property seemed to have thought of everything, as the planning and layout of the cottage, trails, fire pits, and dock were perfectly intuitive for comfort, function, and use. We canoed the peaceful, seemingly untouched waters of Molega Lake nearly everyday, and cooked over woodfire most nights. The property offers privacy and solitude, but is just a short half an hour trip to the market for provisions. In addition, it is only 45 minutes away from Kejimkujik National park, where you can further enjoy the natural beauty of the Nova Scotian wilderness via kayak, canoe, bike, or hike. We greatly look forward to returning for future trips, and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a getaway!

“Amazing Secluded Getaway!”
Reviewed 2 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This cabin is one of the most private & peaceful I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. My husband and I wanted a cabin with privacy and a canoe for our honeymoon and we got exactly what we wanted! Molega lake is HUGE, we went out a few times on the canoe and it was just stunning each time. The cabin itself is clean & stocked with pretty well whatever you would need in a cabin. The BBQ worked great & they even have little trails going from the cabin to the water in different spots. Beautiful to walk out on one of these short trails in the morning to watch the sun rise on the lake. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves cabins and canoeing because this is a hidden treasure. Thanks so much to Cynthia and Eric for making this vacation possible!

“Perfect! Quiet and secluded”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed at this cottage for 4 nights in August. It was exactly what we were hoping it to be. I agree with another reviewer - this was the most secluded cottage we have ever rented.
And it was perfect! The lake is stunning, from both land and canoe. It was actually a bit hard to leave to explore other areas of Nova Scotia for its tranquility, and we always looked forward to being "home" at night with a crackling fire and meteor showers to keep us entertained. The property is really special in the way that it reveres nature and really puts it in the forefront, with meandering paths through a meadow-like setting all eventually leading to the lake. We would definitely recommend this place to others for sure.

“We need the tonic of wildness...At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Walden

“The perfect nature getaway”
Reviewed 8 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My husband and I stayed at Cynthia and Eric's cabin for a long weekend in July. The cabin is super cute and the setting simply beautiful. We enjoyed the absolute privacy and serenity of the place. Absolutely recommend this place if you want to get away from it all and have a relaxing holiday. The cabin was clean and has everything needed to cook and make a campfire. Cynthia and Eric were very responsive. We hope to return some time!

Reviewed 11 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Perfect spot if you need a break from a busy work life. All you hear and smell is nature!!! We can't wait to go back. The wood stove and cozy furniture made our stay even more relaxing! Rain or shine, it's such a great spot to unwind!
