Brandy knows her ghost stories and tells them quite well! Our friends all enjoy doing this Ghost Tour. It's about an hour long. Brandy walks you to the front of each building then tells you about what happened here. She is very well versed on Granbury history and really spices up the tour! (She's also written a good book about it that you can buy from her after the tour!) Tour is $10/person. It is wheelchair accessible. You stay on the town square except for two other stops that are within a short walking distance. The last friend I took has been on several ghost tours around the country and she said that this one was quite good as well!

Did the ghost tour on a Friday evening after dinner, as my wife and I were visiting Granbury for a getaway weekend from DFW. The tour was one of the highlights of our trip. At $10 per person, you can't beat it. We didn't see any ghosts, but Brandy was an excellent guide and really knows her history and legends. She was fun and informative, and shared many of her own experiences in paranormal research around the square. She even shared some photos that had been taken by previous tour guests. The tour took about an hour. With the construction going on around the square, she was very careful in ensuring our safety around the streets that are being resurfaced, steps, gravel, etc. An added treat was meeting her mom at the end of the tour, and in buying Brandy's book at the end, which she inscribed for us. If you are visiting Granbury, this is a must. It's fun and historical, and in no way cheesy. Brandy does a great job.

Although you hear about the ghosts "haunting" several of the homes or establishments around the square, you also get a lot of local history about Granbury founding fathers, Davy Crockett, John Wilkes Booth, and Jess James. It takes about a hour. Not a strenuous walk and our guide was very knowledgable. Cost is $10 person and I thought it was worth the cost. You still have time for dinner or drinks on the square. Fun night!

This was my first ghost tour, so I can't really compare it to others. The tour took a little over an hour and entailed quite a bit of walking on and around the town square. As mentioned before, our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the buildings and the people of early Granbury and was glad to answer questions. My only problem with the tour was the constant street noise on a busy Friday night from loud trucks and motorcycles, which interrupted the "spooky" mood and sometimes overwhelmed the tour guide's talk. This is a reasonably-priced, fun way to learn a little about the history of Granbury and walk off your dinner from one of the great restaurants on the square.

The tour guide has written a book so she knows her stuff. You can buy her book on the tour, from local stores, or from Amazon. The book is the topic of the tour: legends of Granbury.

In addition she's a paranormal investigator who has investigated some of the stops on the tour so she's able to add personal experience as well as witness accounts.

The tour has nothing to do with the store where it meets. The ladies in the store, though, are quite cheerful about the tour.

Due to the heat (over 100 degrees), the early evening tour was cancelled. The late evening tour was very well attended with children, adults, and skeptics. By the end of the evening, I think we were all charmed by the stories and the guide's knowledge of local history.

The following morning, we followed her directions to visit the graves of Gen. Granbury and Jesse James.
