The shopping is mostly antique stores, but the historical buildings are worth a stop. The limestone courthouse of Somervell County, Texas, has interesting architecture. There is also a gazebo with an authentic dinosaur track at the base.
There is a museum across the street, an ice house, and a number of other historic buidlings.
We visited on a Saturday morning in April, and there were a couple of vendors selling homemade pickles and jellies. The farmer's market area offers more items seasonally, so it is worth a stop if you decide to go to Glen Rose to visit the dinosaur tracks at the Dinosaur Valley State Park.
