The beds are like cement. The doors have huge gaps at the bottom allowing mosquitoes a feast. But my biggest problem with this $55.00 night hotel was with the women at the
front desk! What ever you do, don't ask for a discount. To be fare the location is wonderful but the condition of the property is lacking desirability

This was the worst motel at which I have ever attempted to stay. We weren't expecting 4 star quality or anything, and we're no strangers to a cheap motel, but this place was so bad that we left and found someplace else to stay (they don't give refunds, but trust me, it was worth it).

We pulled up to find a half naked man strolling through the parking lot, staring at us (two young women alone). We asked for a room and the guy said he'd give us the VIP room- right above the office (I think he was trying to make us feel safe from the rest of the guests, because our room had a separate entrance from the rest of the motel- it didn't work). He said the room was $40, then asked for $55 (taxes of nearly 40%), we gave him 2 twenties and he said he'd give us the change back in the morning (never saw it again). Then he started being really touchy-feely and completely creeped us out. Hugging us and making weird comments- not a comfortable situation.

Right about now is when the half naked man was joined by some barely clothed women who I'm sure were on some kind of drugs that they probably bought in the parking lot. He's been leering at us the entire time.

The manager guy shows us to our room (which smelled like piss mixed with somekind of spice)- it was disgusting, absolutely disgusting. NEVER been cleaned. Disgusting little refigerator, stove-ish thing, the bathroom was FILTHY and there were things in the toilet, and the bed-- oh, the bed. There's not enough money in the world to make me sit on that bed. And there was no light coming into the room- all the windows were covered with some plastic maybe?

But so far- fine, we'll deal, it's gross, but all we wanted was a place to sleep. Maybe we'll park the car down the block so that we don't worry about the half naked guy breaking into it. And ok- it's just one night- we'll bring a blanket from the car to sleep on and we'll use the restroom out- I guess.

But then the manager guy comes up the private steps to this "VIP" room and opens the door (while still making us VERY uncomfortable) and tries to walk around the room and show us things. When he finally goes away we realize that the door doesn't have an inside only lock- this creepy man can come into our room anytime he likes- and who would hear us scream??-- no one else's room is attached to our VIP room. jesus.

we left. we left the room, we left the nonrefundable $55, we even left the $5 he owed us (which I didn't expect to see again, anyway).

Unless you're used to be surrounded by crack addicts and sleeping in filth, this probably isn't the hotel for you.

The long weekend we spent in this motel was one of our better experiences in beachside motel rentals.

The beds both the conventional and the fold out were comfortable and missing the usual seaside aura of dampness. The bathroom was comfortably large and the whole place was clean, clean, clean by any standards and especially by seaside ones.

Its a family owned place and most of the guests seemed to be regualars...the staff was pleasant and helpful. Price was right. they even allowed us to bring the dog (non refundable but not unreasonable deposit as well as advance notice required).

It is not on the beach per se. It's a block off it with access by footbridge at the end of the block. But a good place for a quiet laid back stay.

Note: this is not a 'resort' type town or an amusement park area... Its a great place for adults, walkers, fishermen, bird watchers to relax and chill. The motel fits this ambience.
