Me, my husband, daughter, and son-in-law had a nice two night stay this weekend at the Livery Stable. The location couldn't be better if you are into doing some day trips. On Saturday, we traveled the country side, making stops in Bandera, Albert, and finally ending the night with a concert at the Luckenbach dance hall. A great time was had by all, and we plan on visiting again.
Tips: If you want a quick meal you can quickly pick up and bring back to the cabin, Mr. Gatti's located next door has some of the best pizza we've eaten in a long time, and we eat pizza alot.
If you have bad knees and can't do stairs you shouldn't stay here, but there is a lovely cabin next door that might be an option.
Really, the only negative thing we had to say about the cabin is that there were no smoke alarms, which was very surprising considering the facility is ALL wood, and I'm pretty sure it's a legal requirement for rentals to have smoke alarms. This was especially disconcerting to us considering that my husband it a retired firefighter, so naturally, it was the FIRST thing he noticed upon entering the cabin.
