As usual very good food with hard to beat burgers and onion rings. Had the Thursday special, blacken shrimp alfredo and was not disappointed. Always going to stop when close by. If you like great burgers, this is the place.

Funny that my granddaughter asks... do we have to go to that stinky greasy cafe...LOL. But to those of us that like great burgers & onion rings... you can’t beat it. The country casual atmosphere is a must if you’re in the area.

The food is great. Be ready to wait on the weekends because they are crowded. But you can enjoy a cold beer while you wait.

Visited Saturday night for the sixth or seventh time over the past five years. This was the first time we didn’t have to wait an hour as restaurant had many empty tables. Should that have been a sign? The waitress who was very nice didn’t stopped by our tables for 20 mins after arriving. They were out of onion rings, and she was apologetic. No problem. We ordered krusty fries which tasted like flour and old grease. The burgers were the biggest disappointment. The meat had absolutely no flavor and the usually yummy jalapeño bun was cold. In addition, one of the employees screamed out in the restaurant several times. We generally love this gem, but last night was a huge disappointment! It left us all wondering if we’d return in the future.

We ate at Alamo Springs Cafe yesterday. It is in Fredericksburg, but it's waayyy south of what most consider the actual town of Fredericksburg. This was my first trip there, and it did take much longer to drive than anticipated. The burger was really good, and the pecan pie with chocolate chips on top and coconut cake were very good. However, if you go on a weekend when the weather is pretty, be prepared to wait for your food. It took 45 minutes for our meal to arrive. The waitress was outstanding considering how crowded it was and how many tables she was waiting.
