We had both breakfast and dinner here. Service was friendly and fast. Dinner was good but the green beans were a little too spicy. The biscuits and mashed potatoes were awesome. I got the grilled chicken which was good but next time I would get the chicken fried steak. It looked awesome. Breakfast was filling with biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon and eggs. The pancakes were huge! Would definitely recommend.

I arrived at Fort Stockton RV Park on a Sunday afternoon and found that most of the restaurants in town close on Sunday, so I decided to walk over to the café when it opened at 5:30 PM. It was a good choice.

I had the Chicken Fried Steak and it was as good as the reviews suggest. The "mashed potatoes" are really a mix of mashed and cubed so they have a lot of texture, and flavor. Green beans are done with bacon and onion, traditional in the south, and also very good.

Although part of the park, this is a public restaurant and shouldn't be passed by just because it is in an RV park. The menu is limited, only six or seven selections but all looked good. They are ONLY OPEN FOR B-FAST AND DINNER!

Roadrunner Cafe opens is closed Sunday and is open from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Monday through Saturday inside the Fort Stockton RV Park off exit 264.

Get there early as the the pork ribs sell out quickly, we were the first seated and the first served! The mashed potatoes were home made with a choice of white or brown gravy, delicious (I had brown gravy). The biscuits are large, homemade and the perfect with ribs!

Other entries are chicken fried steak, grilled chicken breast, chicken tender basket, hand breaded (cornmeal) catfish fillet, large butterfly shrimp and kids meals for age 10 and under are half portions of the regular meal.

I wanted my ribs to last longer and took half home along with extra BBQ sauce for dinner tomorrow. These ribs fell apart with a little help from a fork and were so so good. Who knew such a great meal could be found in an RV park cafe!

Outstanding chicken fried steak, the boneless bbq ribs were my favorite. Some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever eaten & very original & tasty rendition of 'snap beans.'
Best meal for the money I've had in quite some time.
