Winding Ridge BnB (with its Proprietress Delinda) was more inviting, more comfortable and more accommodating than the pictures can possibly portray.

We settled in for a Thu - Sun Birthday Celebration Gathering with in-town, in-state and out-of-state family and guests, and we were not one bit disappointed!

I drove her up the long picturesque drive with all the surprise dinner guests ready with warm hugs and greetings. The kitchen had everything needed for Chef Tommy Britt to create the Thu. night special meal! The wood burning fireplace kept us all warm as we gathered for great catchup conversation throughout the evening. The beds and bedding and dark shaded windows offered exceptionally restful sleep all three nights.

Other dear friends came and went on Fri and on Sat. we ventured into North Park Center for a smidge of shopping and La Duni for lunch. We returned, and as the chilled misty weather permitted, we explored the perimeter porches with memorable vistas, we enjoyed the tiny animal collection with our grand baby girl and we yearned for sunshine to venture across the estate.

Winding Ridge BnB on Sugar Ridge is perfect, meriting more Owl Eyes than available to mark. It’s more than suitable for moderate scale weddings, family gatherings and weekender celebrations like ours. You should hurry and book it for your first visit, before I reserve it again for our next!

We were 2 couples with 4 kids under 10. This venue was amazing. The adults love the quiet relaxed feel with a winery within walking distance. The kids loved the the animals and pool. No one wanted to leave after our 3 day stay.

I would stop at a grocery store before getting here so you don't have to spend time driving back and forth. I would be sure to buy carrots for the horses, s'mores supplies, and steak for the grill.

A special note: one of the kids got a fever and the owner had an extra thermometer that she shared at 10pm. She showed us that she really cared and was committed to us having a great time

Room tip: You have 2 bedrooms to choose from

We chose Winding Ridge B & B because we were looking for a place to connect with our friends while in town for a wedding. After spending a week camping in the wilderness of New Mexico and Texas with our four-legged children, we needed a place that could accommodate our group of 5 and our four-legged family. Winding Ridge is simply wonderful and included everything needed for a memorable stay - and the wrap around porch is breath-taking and the mini-donkeys and horses were so cute, curious, and sweet!!!! This is an amazing place to unwind with friends, to enjoy a romantic get-a-way, or to enjoy a respite of solitude to re-charge your battery. The amenities and ambiance are thoughtful, heartfelt, complete and simply incredible. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place to just.... be!

I stayed at Winding Ridge B&B with friends while in Ennis, TX for a wedding. The B&B is beautiful place to share with friends or family. The kitchen was well equipped with breakfast supplies, pots, pans, utensils, and plate ware. We spent most of the weekend on the porches that surround the house. Either resting on the hammock or rocking chairs or sitting around the fire pit. The entire porch is covered and provided a great space for eating, drinking, and relaxing with friends.

The grounds of the B&B are equally as beautiful. The B&B even provided us with carrots to feed to the many animals on the grounds. Horses, goats, cattle, mini ponies, and mini donkeys.

I highly recommend Winding Ridge B&B.

Thanks for a great weekend, I can't wait for a reason to go back.

This property is amazing inside and out. The house was perfect for the 3 of us. We were able to spend time together, but still each of had our privacy. The furnishings are amazing, gives you a cozy antique setting. Full kitchen, patio with grill and fire pit. Wrap around porch with an amazing swing to enjoy the outdoors. It was very hot last weekend, so our time outside was in the evening, but the house was cool and very comfortable. Perfect to meet our daughter who lives near by and have a casual weekend on our own. We will go back, our host was very accommodating. A must do!!!!!
