A good place to have a couple glasses of wine and enjoy the atmosphere. Nice place in a great neighborhood.

Fantastic high class restaurant for the carnivore in all of us. When in Dallas, eat like a Texan, and Al Biernat’s certainly gives you that opportunity. I had trouble choosing between all the highly graded cuts of meat from local ranches, raised on open pastures, some cross-bred with Wagyu cows – either wet-aged or dry-aged … and the North Dakota Buffalo filet delivered fresh daily.

I ended up starting with the Tenderloin Tartare appetizer, prepared with purple onion, Dijon mustard, and Chipotle tabasco, followed by a Wagyu Carpaccio with pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil. For my entrée, I selected the special grade, 28-day dry-aged rib eye, which, cooked rare, was nothing short of extraordinary. The table ordered a few sides to share, including wild mushrooms, lobster risotto, and roasted Brussels sprouts. Excellent! And the house red wine that we got – 50% off that evening and one of the few in double digits – was outstanding.

Service at Al Biernat’s was phenomenal. Really really nice, mature, and knowledgeable waiter (Brian) who didn’t socialize like a kid or push us into ordering what we didn’t need or want. He was as much a part of the success as the food.

Atmosphere was quite nice. Festive, spacious, not too noisy, and not too cramped.

Was the meal cheap? Hardly. This is definitely not the place to come for a bargain dinner. But I can see why TripAdvisor reviewers love it. I did too and wholeheartedly recommend Al Biernat’s for anyone celebrating a special occasion or a recent lottery win.

Al Biernat's is a staple amidst the Dallas Steakhouses. Always a great choice. If you have not tried their new North Dallas location, it is fantastic!

We absolutely loved dining at Al Biernat's. This place has a warmth and reverence about it. The food was delicious and the service was very personable!

A little on the high end, but was well worth it!
