“Smaller venue with excellent sound, charm and style”
Review of Kessler Theater

We traveled from Atlanta to Dallas to see St. Vincent and were so glad to see her in her hometown at this excellent venue. Just $5 more gave us access to the balcony seats and we snagged great ones directly center stage.

Employees were quick to answer questions and direct us to where we needed to go. They serve food on real china dinnerwear and drinks in nice glasses, which is much nicer than most music venues! A busboy actually comes around tidying up often enough to keep things clean, but not too often to annoy.

Oak Cliff is lucky to have such a great venue in their neighborhood and we hope to return.

The Kessler is a great place to listen and enjoy music. Almost everybody is there because of the music and know how to enjoy it (instead of many bars where the noise of people talking is as loud as the band). They also have a few food menu items at the bar that are really good if you need something to go with your beer.

This theater was recently renovated. The owners did four things really right. First, the sound is top notch. Second, there's not a bad seat in the house. Third, Jeff Liles books the most amazing music acts. Finally, the bar is friendly and full service. The Theater is in the very up and coming, but still authentic Kessle+ part of Oak Cliff. There's plenty of parking. We've seen national acts, and tons of local musicians. The Theater is an integral part of the community, music lessons, and community events are common. This is our go to place to see live music.
