With an old time roadside diner ambiance, Flagstop Cafe takes travelers back 50 years to when a small town diner could feed a family of travelers well and at a reasonable price. Clientele that I saw ranged from older, regular couples, workers and businessmen. Their daily luncheon specials are very popular (breakfast, too). I have had the burgers, fried chicken, Texas enchiladas, breakfast burritos, homemade bread, and cookies. All were very good, with the cooks calling out your number to give you your order or deliver to your table. The staff are quite friendly and down-to-earth. If your looking for some down home food for breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend this place, in spite of all the surrounding highway constrauction.
