First, you cannot be in a hurry when eating at Patty's, the service is not slow, just laid back. This is a place you come to relax eat and just take your time. If your in a hurry, go to the place north of the interstate and enjoy. The food here is really good. The choices are fairly good and the price is very fair. Portions are large on top of it.

We stopped at this restaurant when driving from Memphis to Nashville.
The staff were lovely and welcoming. I would score the wait staff 5/5 for their politeness. Not being from the USA, we loved the accents of the southern employees.
I only scored it 3 out of 5 because the food was very slow and very basic. The meat tasted like it had been frozen and thawed out only because we ordered it.
If you are looking for basic home style cooking, then this is the place. If I was driving past here again, I wouldn’t stop again.

Decided to stop in on a Friday night. This place is clean and the staff takes care of you. My wife had a patty melt that she said was good but was lacking for onions. Why are restaurants so chintzy with onions? I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and a side of slaw. The steak was outstanding, the gravy was very thin. The potatoes were nothing to write home about. Coleslaw was excellent. My son had the seafood buffet. He said the catfish was the best he has ever had. The clams were overcooked. At $14.99 it was way overpriced!
