The one room studio cabin was cute but there were a few things that were not as clean as we would have liked. The garden tub inside was dusty and had spiders in it. We had to keep shoes on all the time as the floor was a bit dirty and turned your feet brown. They had a pool but it needed a good skimming and there was a GIGANTIC spider in it. We didn't use the kitchen so nothing to report on that.
It was a nice stay for a weekend trip with my sweetie. The view was beautiful and there were kittens to play with.
I highly question the negative review given for this cabin and Bear Pen Gap resort! Trust me, this cabin was immaculate when we arrived. It was clean, fresh, and ready for use. Complete with a full kitchen, linens, and the essentials for a secluded getaway. The hot tub on the deck was filled and simply required taking off the cover and pushing the button to turn it on. Nor did we have any issues with the hot water in the unit. If we would have had any issues, I feel confident that Charlene would have arranged to get the things fixed quickly, or moved us to another available unit. Trust me, she was fantastic to work with from the initial contact through e-mail to the very end of our trip! One of our favorite things to do was to sit out on the deck as the sun began to set and watch for deer, listen for bear rustling in the brush, and the eagles/hawks flying in the sky. It is a magnificent view looking towards Mt. LeConte!
