We rented this cabin to celebrate an 80th birthday in the family. Upon arrival everything was decently clean. There are two bedrooms upstairs, each with king sized bed and a private bath. There is a 'jacuzzi' tub in each bathroom but the one in our bathroom didn't work very well. It sent out a trickle instead of a solid jet and the plug to the bathroom was completely removed from the tub, leaving us to fight with it to get it in so water wouldn't run out. The tub was very small. The bathroom needed a solid scrubbing and the shower curtain had quite a bit of dirt. The bed itself was decently comfortable and each room had their own television which was nice.
On the main level is a bedroom, dining area, living room, and kitchen. There is a good supply of cooking items if you wanted to cook a big meal. The fridge worked well and the dining table was nice and large. The living area was a little small but worked for our group of nine.
Downstairs has two bedrooms (one queen and one king). There is also an entertainment space, but it is in desperate need of updating. The pool table has dead spots and part of the side of the table is collapsing, making it impossible to play a normal game of pool. The jukebox would only play songs beginning with the numbers 2 and 6, so the adults heard "Mmmmm Bop" and "When I Grow Up" multiple times. The arcade game needed a knob in order to control the movement, but it had apparently been pulled off. The kids did enjoy the hot tub.
At night is when the adventure began. My mother-in-law and son kept hearing a sound, as did people in the upstairs bedroom next to us. They said it sounded like something scratching within the walls. On the outside of the cabin there was insulation hanging, and we assume it was from whatever creature was in the walls. My mother-in-law thought someone was opening her bedroom door because of the noise, but when she got up to look around she couldn't find anything in the room. After looking through the closets downstairs, she was convinced it was something in the walls.
This could be a great cabin with some simple updates. Parking was a bit complicated because we were RIGHT next to another cabin so we had to park three vehicles deep, leaving whoever was parked at the front of the line pretty much stuck. The location is good - right in the middle of Pigeon Forge but far enough off of the parkway to make us feel like we were removed from the chaos.
