We attended the Peppercorn for a family function and it did not disappoint.
The staff were friendly, food was perfection and lovely atmosphere. We decided to eat lunch the following day as well. It was still as enjoyable the following day.
You must eat here if you are in Yea or driving through town. Don't miss it though as it is not in the main strip of shops, it is opposite the old train station.

We were a walk in booking and fortunately found that they had a vacancy. Room was large, clean and warm. Bathroom had a nice double shower. Each room has a small flat screen TVs and reverse cycle heating and aircon.
We decided to eat in Peppercorns restaurant and found the food to be of a good standard. A flatscreen provides a Birdseye view of your meal getting prepared which is entertaining. Servings are not large but it means you have room for desert. A wood burner adds warmth and atmosphere to the dining area and complements the good service.
The hotel is located a short stroll from the centre of town and just off the Great Victorian Rail Trail. A secure area is provided for those who arrive by bike but remember to BYO lock.

I have eaten here many times and always had a good meal.
Tonight I had oysters natural ($16 for 6) the ladies had kilpatrick at $18. All good.
For main I tried the Pie Floater which is new on the menu. Very tasty.
Others had the whiting and calamari. All were great.
Good selection of wines.
Looking forward to coming back and having the seafood plate ($49)
