Big grassy sites, good conveniences, walk to main street shops. Walk to nearby weir and power station. Easy walk to RSL pokies etc in Mulwala. The toilets need an expanded metal type grid at the entrance to stop the mowed grass from spoiling the floor. Needs a drainage mat when you get out of the shower as the floor is very wet (no curtain). Advertised with free WIFI but wouldn't work "as we were too far from the office" but no one else could get it either.

We stayed in the Riverview cabins for 3 nights with 6 other families. Cannot fault the park. It has everything to keep everyone entertained. The cabins were clean and comfortable (we hardly spent any time in them) the views of the river were amazing. We booked again for the following year on checkout. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Room tip: Riverview Cabins are a perfect spot

Loved by thousands of noisy, squawking corellas, the Yarrawonga Holiday Park is right on the river and walking distance to the main street of Yarrawonga. The toilets and showers are OK, very good play facilities for kids and a very large air conditioned camp kitchen which has the lowest sink in Australia. (Maybe for the kids to wash up). Some of the more expensive sites along the river are very small and the river bank is practically a sheer drop of about 8 metres down to the water level. A good boat ramp is available near the office. A very big and busy park with staff who can be quite short and rude when the mood suits them. For those with kids, it probably very convenient once you get through the check-in process. After one stay, we are not planning to park our caravan amongst the corellas and other nasties next trip.

Room tip: Book a short stay first.

This park is extremely disappointing. The grass sites have very little grass and a mostly just dirt. The toiletsand showers are dirty with shower heads that are blocked and barely work. The sites are small and seem very crowded as the road network is just wide enough for a van with very little room for maneuvering car and van. Some of the road ways are just dirt between rows. The large camp kitchen is ill equipped without any pots pans etc. The only saving grace of this park is the large enclosed play area and splash park. Although the splash park is not covered which would be great given the sun in NE vic.

Utterly disappointed..

Firstly, the park has wonderful facilities and a fantastic splash park and playground, and the kids had a great time... BUT.. us adults.. not so much.

We stayed on a powered grass site for two nights, Friday and Saturday nights, non powered sites are not available. (Used no power at all as we are totally self sufficient)
2 Adults, 3 kids = $80 per night!!! (no, the grass was not gold flaked, and it was not during school holidays, or any peak period). Very expensive for a piece of grass. Bad start.

Upon booking the site ahead of our weekend, we had some guests (a couple) that were hoping to book a cabin for the Saturday night and stay in the park with us, But I was told flat out no to making a booking in a cabin for only a single night for my guests as the parks policy is minimum two night stay, even though I was told there were cabins available. Okay that’s a little strange to me, but fair enough that’s the policy.

Certain reception stuff that I spoke with were very rude, abrupt and abrasive. Upon arrival and check in, again.. rude, abrupt and abrasive, not welcoming in any way and made us feel like we were just in the way of them doing they’re job.

As our guests were unable to stay in a cabin on the Saturday night, they decided to come and have a bbq lunch with us at the park on our site (I cooked on my own bbq, using my own gas and own food). In the spirit of doing the right thing, we checked our guests in with reception so they could fill out the required COVID forms. Reception then charged both of our guests $18 per person, $36 total!!! Just to have lunch with us at the park.
Reception was made very aware that our guest are NOT spending the night, only staying for lunch, and as our guests are polite, they simply paid it, but they felt absolutely ripped off and were quite unhappy about it. As was I!!! In fact I had a very difficult time containing my frustration.

I have never been to such an expensive park, that treats people so poorly.

Again.. it has great facilities and is a wonderful park for family’s.. but be very prepared to pay for it, and if your unlucky, reception will treat you like your an idiot.

WE WILL NEVER RETURN, and all of my family and friends with kids and caravans have been made very aware of our experience.

Yarrawonga holiday park, you are getting too big for your boots, please take your head out of the clouds.

Kind regards,
Unhappy camper :(
