“Reliably very good for coffee and cakes”

Beechworth Bakery Yackandandah
Description: Our Yackandandah bakery only opened its doors in the middle of November 2017, and was warmly welcomed by the locals as they had been without a bakery for a few months. Like our Albury bakery it is a small bakery, but in an historic building that has always been a bakery, in the middle of the town. Being small allows us to really personalise the service to our customers, and greet them like old friends. We would love to welcome and look after you, so you can fully enjoy the experience as well as this gorgeous little town.

Our cycle group of nine came here on our Yackandandah loop ride from Myrtleford. Good service and excellent cakes and sandwiches. Coffee was average.

We drove from Myrtleford to Yackandandah for our morning coffee and there are quite a few cafes/coffee shops in Yackandandah but we chose to stop at the Beechworth Bakery. We don't like our coffee too strong and the barista was happy to listen to our requirements and we were very happy with our drinks when we received them. Robb also had a coffee scroll that he really enjoyed.

Nice place to have a snack or lunch Good atmosphere and if you like there is table and chairs on the footpath. Like many other reviewers have mentioned it is a busy bakery cafe but they seem to cope with the good staff. They are keen to serve and ensure your visit is a pleasant one.

We had some coffee, toasted cheese sandwich and cake and it was very good eating for under $25. We sat on comfortable seats inside and were not under pressure to eat fast and leave.

There is a reasonably wide range of pastries, cakes and pies to choose one. The question is...which?

As the Sunday was packed with tourists we decided to wait until the Monday for our lunch. Monday was also busy with the queue back to the door but the staff were very prompt with their service. We decided to take our yummo pies upstairs to eat out on the balcony where we watched life go by down on the street below.
