My husband and I spent a night in the Storybook Cottage for our wedding anniversary in March this year. Our hosts, Paula & Stephen were friendly and accommodating and told us to explore the property and to make ourselves at home. The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable, with a two person spa in the bedroom. They even included some candles! The main living area is self contained and the sofa also folds out to a bed, so if we wanted to take our two children there next time, then that is an option. The bathroom has a dual shower and is more than spacious for two people. We had access to an outdoor pool which we dipped our feet into as it was a hot weekend. Breakfast provisions are adequate and Paula supplied us with a loaf of home baked bread, which was a bit grainy for our liking but very fresh indeed. We asked for a later checkout time which they agreed to at no extra cost! This cottage was extremely peaceful and relaxing, a perfect place to stay if you want tranquility and quality time with your partner.

Room Tip: The cottage is self contained and completely private. There is also B&B style accommodation in the main part of the property but we did not make use of it.

Beware, stay at your own risks. The owners live right next door and are extremely nosey people. They are very money motivated- they wanted our guests to pay for getting in the pool and wanted us to pay to take photos around the property. They appear friendly but they watch your every move. Worst place I have ever stayed at. Would not recommend to anyone and would not go back either!!! Will spend my money elsewhere thank you very much!

We just returned from a wonderful long weekend staying in the Cottage at Retreats by Design.
It's located in an ideal spot for peace and beauty, plus the main attractions of the Mornington Peninsula are close by.
We've stayed in numerous self contained cottages that are designed for couples but this one was a stand out. It has a private sauna! As well as a deep double spa and fireplace.
We had an unforgettable time and Stephen & Paula are wondeful hosts.

Room Tip: Definitely choose the romantic cottage if you're a couple. If travelling in a group, stay in the guest house.
