The only bad thing about this place is they are not open for dinner.
It’s great to have this place on main stress Lilydale (Yarra valley) instead of the Fitzroy hipster places up the road

Run by friendly and lovely people, the smokery is a good place for lunch, with much better than average sandwiches and more.

Big drive east and had not eaten.
Smokery offered a satisfying brunch and good coffee.
Eating outside on a lovely morning. Attentive, friendly service.
Enjoyed the naughty brisket burger. Chips a bit whirly weird
but otherwise the meal overall was very good.

Chance visit as in the area and came across the Smokery In lilydale - amazing food great service and well priced !

Dropped in for lunch on a whim and what a find! The smell as we walked in was a good indication that we were going to like this place ... and we weren't disappointed!

They have just about every kind of meat imaginable, smoked and served in a soft bread roll, Turkish bread or brioche... with beautiful thick chips and with pickled carrot that compliments the neat perfectly! Brilliant!

You know when you see someone that you recognise, and then realise that they're actually not just an old friend but a movie star, or some sort of celebrity, well after a while I worked out where I knew the guy in the kitchen from ... he is the well renowned chef previously from one of my favourite haunts, the Kublai Mongolian BBQ in Croydon (and was also a reality TV star at one stage). Once I'd realised who was in the kitchen, I wasn't at all surprised how good this was!
