Description: Cherry Tree Cafe has been delighting locals and visitors to Healesville, 6 days a week, since March 2015. In 2017 Petra, and partner chef Stephen, took the reigns and customers can now enjoy alfresco dining in the gorgeous 'secret garden' with their dogs by their side, or in the cooler months, sit by the warming log fire with the paper and a mug of locally roasted coffee, and a bowl of hot creamy oats served with figs, apple and drizzled with honey. Breakfast options include French toast (which customers travel miles for) creamy parmesan mushrooms, harissa baked eggs and roasted pumpkin & fetta smash! Brunch and lunch are served all day so why not tuck into a bowl of chef-made soup or one of their signature dishes - such as a serve of crab linguine with a glass of local wine. All dietary requirements are happliy catered for and the menu changes seasonally with delicious modern European / Aussie style specials. Open 8am to 3.30pm every day except Thursdays. No booking required.

Over cooked eggs (scrambled looked like mince meat) and 3 poached eggs resembled hard boiled eggs. The coffees were bitter.. not sure if burnt maybe. Very expensive not just for the quality but in comparison to other cafes too ($35+ p/p for simple breakfast + 1 burnt coffee each)

Hi Brittany, thank you for visiting our cafe and for providing us with this feedback. Whilst we're sad to hear you weren't happy with your eggs or coffees, we are grateful for your feedback as it is how we continue to learn and improve. We wish we'd known and had the opportunity at the time to address it and made your eggs and coffees again - as we pride ourselves on the quality of our offering and always want our customers to be happy. At $12, our eggs on toast are very reasonably priced and where we can we keep our costs down so we can be affordable.

Was heading to Mocha & Lime but changed course because the menu here seemed more up our alley and it didn’t disappoint. Creamy Parmesan Mushrooms - amazing! Hubby had a Big Breakfast- also delish. Comfy atmosphere too. Would definitely go back.

My partner and I have been coming to Cherry Tree for breakfast every week for over a month now and the food has been cooked perfectly and delicious every time. Coffee is sublime and the service is fantastic. Lovely cozy place to eat with some amazingly detailed artwork throughout the cafe. Highly highly recommend.

What a gorgeous review, thank you - we're so thrilled you have loved your visits to our cafe and rate our food and coffee so highly. You're right about cosy too, as autumn turns to winter our fire becomes a real drawcard. Our aim is to do what we do to a really high standard and we're so happy that that was your experience.

I called in for brunch. Ordered corn fritters that tasted like they were deep fried in old oil. Fritters were burnt around the edges. Bacon was tough and undercooked. Salad was OK but avocado tasted strange. Coffee average. Stay away. Go to Mocha and Lime instead.
