Description: Old world charm with new world style, this classic country hotel is at the heart of the Yarra Valley. We are now offering great food, seven days of the week using the best of the season and region. Choose from a selection of smaller snacks and tastes to nibble on with your glass of local wine... Next, let us carve some of our famous K&B charcuterie; Italian parma ham, bresaola, Spanish salamis, and our house made pork, veal and pistachio terrine... served with crusty bread, little pickled vegetables and caper berries. Our kitchen are slow cooking local lamb shoulders for 12 hours... and roasting local Berkshire pork belly. Finish with Sophie's selection of perfectly ripened cheeses, hand picked from our copper cheese cabinet in our providore, Kitchen & Butcher. Our new menu also features hearty classic 'pub style' dishes to satisfy the hungriest diner.

We had a family meal here, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Set in the sweet little town of Healesville, we were served amazingly tender lamb, in a warm and cosy setting (August, so it was on the cool side outside).
Recommended.

The restaurant is in a really beautiful room. The food is delicious though the menu is small and a tad pricey. The staff are very friendly & helpful.

The hotel has a beautiful à la carte dining room , with and extensive wine list , as well as great cocktails made from locally sourced gin and vermouth producers . The food is fresh , creative , beautifully presented and delicious . Our seat by the log fire was convivially and relaxing , and the staff were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this spit

Wanted somewhere nice to take my cousin and her husband for their anniversary. Most of the places in Healesville were closed on Tuesday so we settled for the Healesville Hotel. Boy were we wrong, no such thing as settling here!
The building is beautiful, the food is amazing and the service was very attentive.
My cousin and her husband were so pleased with their dinner and the experience. Thank you for making our evening so good!

Went to the restaurant for dinner.
For non-meat eaters and non-alcohol drinkers wasn't good. We got funny look when we told them.
Barramundi was tough and raw in the centre.
Smoked trout was inedible with disgusting taste.
Asparagus was oily.
Olives were nice however they took away our kid's plate in the middle of eating them and didn't ask if he had finished or not. There were still some on his plate he was going to eat.
The coffee tasted awful.
Lady staff in training was very nice and friendly.
Left hungry and not good after.

Not good for vegetarians.

Will be going to other places in future. Wanted to try it from reviews it had had in past years.

Thanks for your feedback. I was surprised and obviously disappointed to read your comments. We have a number of vegetarian and vegan options available in the dining room, bar and garden, which echos our particularly vegan-friendly Harvest Cafe located next door. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your experience further. Please don't hesitate to contact me directly 03 5962 4002.
