I couldn't agree more with the other review. This place is marketed as luxury but it is far from luxury. Terrible value for money and I can only assume people pay so much to stay here because accommodation is limited in this winery wedding precinct.

Things that were particularly annoying:

BBQ not working
Dishes filthy (we actually had to hand wash all dishes prior to using)
Dishwasher smelly and dinner plates don't fit in there
All hand soap watered down
Jacuzzi cover broken so lots of debris from the cover in jacuzzi (we didn't use it)
Small fridge

Would not stay here again.

The thrust of this accommodation - as espoused on their website - is oriented heavily toward a luxurious stay. Sadly, the property very much fails to deliver in this regard.

The most glaring problem is that they're offering a house that comfortably sleeps 6-8 people, and are marketing it - and indeed pricing it - as though it can cater to 11.

Incredibly, they've taken what presumably was a small utility room next to the kitchen - with no windows or indeed ventilation at all - and stuck a bed in it to call it a bedroom.

The house in general was a grand example of its' era, attractively equipped with high ceilings, floorboards and ducted heating for what are undoubtedly cold winters. Yet the modern kitchen extension is simply a concrete slab with a small split system paying only lip service to the concept of adequate heating. Must be awful in winter. Why on earth would you not simply connect the existing central heating system?

The answer, of course, is cost. And cost cutting is a theme we see throughout this property. The standard of the kitchen equipment is atrocious. There was a single chopping board, and three blunt knives. For 11 people! No sign of a corkscrew. The fridge was much smaller than the space created for it. No doubt it was a leftover from the owners' last redecoration.

The BBQ was that delightful $99 special from Bunnings. There was a small, cheap portable radio / CD player in the kitchen. Luckily we brought a range of cables and managed to plug our music in. No other music options were available, so most of our time was limited to the kitchen and it's over sized table which was very awkward when catering to 11 people.

None of these things would be a problem if the house was priced and positioned as a mid-range holiday house. But it's aspirations toward luxury and it's overpriced tariffs make all of these factors unacceptable.

The house is hemmed in by two neighboring properties, one of whose living space sits just a few metres away from the jacuzzi. Be aware of the constraints of renting a holiday home in a suburban street.

Of course, you will be aware of this after you encounter the somewhat offensive notice stuck to the fridge threatening to have you and your party evicted should you make any noise outdoors after 11pm. No doubt the neighbors are as impressed by the proprietors of this place as I am.

We will certainly not return. We have rented many high end holiday homes which offer far better value than this. The proprietors do not appear to understand what a luxury home should comprise.
