Went up to Lake Mountain for the day and wanted a place to stay rather than drive home.
Found Maroondah View Motel and couldn’t be happier.

You really couldn’t ask for more.
From stagnant water in the pool to stained old bath mats and filthy old beds. We couldn’t even spend the night. Owners were nice but the outside bungalow was so run down and filled with second hand furniture and covered in cobwebs. We asked for a refund - refused.
stayed for one night and I was glad to see that everything was so clean. A/C was a bit noisy and could not see anyone at the reception at anytime.The bed was very comfy and other facilities were quite good too .would stay there again as it was cheap as well
Stayed here for one night with my son on a road trip through the Yarra Valley/Yarra Ranges. Despite a mix-up with the room (given a double when a family room was booked) this was quickly resolved and the manager could not be more apologetic. The subsequent room had plenty of space and everything expected, comfortable beds, clean with a shared balcony and a wonderful view of Maroondah.
The rooms and the motel exterior are very dated, however and despite recent redecoration, expect the shower, fridge, microwave and air conditioning to be functional but not modern. Price relative to others in the area seems about right.
We enjoyed our stay at the motel. The bed was firm and we had a good night sleep. The manager was very kind. It was a very hot day when we arrived and she came around to our room with fresh cold juices. She also showed us where to find food and vineyards for wine tasting. Overall, the motel was value for money,
