The restaurant was recommended by some locals for its fresh roasted coffee. The coffee was just ok but the rest of the establishment really impressed us. Outstanding service from genuinely friendly staff including Kate in the restaurant and Ravi in the cellar/tasting room. Food I am sure is good although we only tried pizza which was interesting but not our style. Thanks guys for your generous hospitality. A very well polished establishment.

We had a good wine tasting, food was good, the desert was a bit heavy. My favorite wine is red wine Pinot Noir .

We had a wonderful afternoon at Giant steps. The wine tasting room is strategically tucked away from the restaurant so you feel as if you're in a completely different world. Our wine host was Donna and she was a total delight. She was knowledgable and passionate despite only working there one day per week. Our experience was transformed from an ordinary wine tasting to something more personal and much more fun.
The only reason I've given 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because of the pizza after the wine tasting which was so terribly disappointing. The entire family had seen their beautiful pizza making area but when it came out it was tasteless. The pizzas were devoid of toppings and boring. The side salad, vegetables and wine saved the lunch. I strongly suggest (to customers) to avoid the pizzas, and (to Giant Steps) maybe take them off the menu.

Went for tasting only but the food looked great. Staff very friendly and knowledgable of the wines they were pouring into our glasses. Good wines with some that encouraged us to purchase. Great tasting room added to the experience. We were all happy with the tasting experience. Maybe next time we may stop for some food.

I had the pearl barley, jerusalum artichokes and root vegetables. This lacked an interesting spice or sauce to tie it all together and was not a success. My husband ate the buffalo mozzarella pizza which was soggy and lacked flavour. The basket of house cut chips was expensive at $12:00 and the chips were undercooked and stodgy. We had to pay extra for our accompany bread and olive oil.

The good news was that the vast restaurant had big windows creating a bright and sunny aspect. However the background noise made it very hard to converse with our two friends. It seemed to be caused by the design of one floor with a mezzanine floor above so that you were forced to hear large groups of others talking and more than one source of music being belted out over speakers. We decided to leave for a quieter cafe for our dessert and coffee. I would not recommend this restaurant.
