Lovely little motel in a great location. Easy walking distance to shops and walking trails. Small lake to sit by and watch the local fauna. New owners are doing a great job with their customer service and the rooms are clean and comfy. Will definitely visit again.

Room was basic but they offer microwave to heat up food if you need. A few tables at the back that you can also use for a picnic lunch/dinner. We checked out but went back again to have packed lunch by the lake?.. Owner is friendly but just don't feel comfortable that they have to ask for your credit card details to 'record' it in their system despite full amount already paid / charged soon after you book via booking.com.

The new owners made this Motel as a little nice beauty place in Halls Gap again. This place is on the main street in Halls Gap, next to the small shopping centre and dining places. I remembered this place as a very friendly place to stay just in touch with the nature. May be you will be welcomend not only by the owners, because kangaroos and King Parrots or cockatoos and other wildlife will welcome you too. The typical nice Motelroom has enough space and are very clean. The Bathroom has a good size. You´ll have a fridge, toaster, water boiler and coffee and teabags. Its a good value for the prize you´ll get. And its a good point to start into your Grampians experience. Thanks for the good time I had again.

Room tip: The rooms are in one line in one complex. Most you will have some wildlife next to your room ( Skippy) Car can parking infront ya roomdoor.

The location was great, easy walking distance into town and cafes, etc. Rooms are dated but functional. Nice little spot with lake and sitting area towards the back of the motel. Lots of fairly tame kangaroos and other wildlife to see right there.

Hi Kass,
Thanks for taking the time to review.
I am working on updating the rooms over time currently working on the bathrooms then onto the rest of the rooms hopefully that will make rooms feel more modern and comforatable for our guests.

Vern.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, with a fridge, toaster, water boiler and the bathroom was a good size (not too big not too small) did have some issues with the hot water, it came on and off a lot but that might have been the time of night too. The view is sooooo gorgeous. I spent quite a while just sitting outside with a book looking out to the Grampians with a little lake and roo's and emu's bopping all over the place. Little piece of heaven. The guy that owns/manages the place is super nice too.

Hi Puck,

Thank you for the review and feedback on the hot water.
I will look into the hot water issue as it is essential that it is functioning well for our guests. The flow needs to be high for the hotwater system to contuniously operate as it is an instantanous hot water service so if the flow is too small the hotwater unit cuts in and out anyway i will check it out today to make sure it is functioning will.

Regards,
Vern.
