We booked an executive suite because the description read "Upgraded suite". It was a big disappointment when we check-in. The upgrade was limited to the toilet and there was a long list of old antiquated items in the room. Let me list them:
- old window air-conditioner that starts and stops with aloud "clonk". The way to turn on or off the air con was directly from the wall socket.
- old fridge with the freezer compartment frozen over, it looked like no one had cleaned the fridge in a few years
- old pillows that are hard and heavy. If it were my own pillow, i would be sure they are full of dead dust mites.
- old mattress that was hard and stained
We left the towels on the towel rail as we do not mind reusing the towels for a second day. To our horror after we returned to the room - the floor mat was placed right on top of our towels and based on the dirt and stains on the floor mat, we are sure it wasn't a new piece but the same one that was on the floor the night before. And they encourage us to be environmentally friendly.
High time for a major renovation.
