We had some breakfast and some lunch and all were really good. The chicken and dumplings were great and the mushroom and Swiss burger delish.

Our family choose this restaurant for lunch and were very pleased. Its menu provided both breakfast and lunch choices which pleased us. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would definitely return of on the area again.

If you're looking for a great omelet this is where you need to be. They also have wonderful breakfast potatoes. The biscuits and gravy is hit and miss. They have a good meat and two lunch special. This is a decent restaurant for the area and we really like they're breakfast that you can order anytime of day.

Ignore how it looks outside. No need to dress up, just make sure you wear a shirt. It's not your fancy seafood restaurant, it's a small Mom & Pop for sure. IF YOU LOVE CATFISH, EAT HERE. It gets my 5 stars based on the catfish alone. Don't go for the atmosphere, you'll be disappointed.

We were on our way back from our trip and as our custom is we try to eat at "local mom and pop" restaurants instead of "chains" or something we have at home. So we turned to our go to tool "TripAdvisor" for restaurants in the area. We came upon Hillbilly's Cabin read the reviews and decided to give it a try.
We could tell locals seem to go there so that was a plus, they served home style meals so that was another plus. We ordered "pot roast" and "chicken and dumplings" with sides of hashbrown casserole, mustered greens, pinto beans, and fried okra and of course sweet tea. Disappointed with our meals the pot roast was more like vegetable soup with 3 tiny pieces of roast, I mean tiny. Chicken and dumplings consisted of dumplings that came out of a can (which they were descent) but the chicken was sprinkled on top of the dumplings as opposed to being cooked in them. The vegetables were ok but seem to come from a can as well, with the exception of the okra and hashbrown casserole . Now concerning the sweet tea it was genuine Deep South sweet tea (maybe 1 1/2 cups of sugar per gallon).
The people were friendly as the South is but disappointed with the "home style" food but it was filling!
