4 girlfriends and I stayed at Janet's Farm overnight when looking for last minute accommodation.

On arrival we saw a number of chickens, dogs, peacocks, emus and other animals.

We received a tour of the accommodation from Janet and were very amused and delighted. It was like walking into a time capsule! Teddy bears on every bed, velour curtains and blankets. The rooms were quite musty, but we opened up the windows and sat on the back deck admiring the kangaroos!

Later that night as we got the fireplace going, Janet told us to come in to see the feeding of the wallaby and joeys. It was a nice touch. Unfortunately we slept in and missed the animal feeding in the morning.

All in all basic accommodation but excellent experience for animal lovers. We were glad the money for our stay was going to a good cause.

On arrival, we had a warm welcome and found a clean and tidy accomodation waiting for us, even if furnishings were dated. The highlight was the animals after all. And there were animals! We were allowed to help feed the orphan kangaroos and wallabies - but there were plenty more as well - cockatoos (some talking), emus, pig, calf. Crazy chooks everywhere - you had to smile. A very special place, with a lovely couple utterly devoted to their animals. Feeding time was 7 in evening and 7 in the morning. So it is well worth booking an overnight stay - and the money all goes to feeding the animals.

Thank you Janet for a wonderful farm stay. Your hospitality and passion were evident throughout our 3-day stay. The children thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on farming experience and with so much to see and do, Tinakori is a must for every family willing to get back to nature, connect with one another and live in every single moment.
