Barnsley House B&B is a wonderful place to stay in Beechworth. A comfortable house with rooms tastefully furnished in an Old English style, you could not get a more authentic experience. The stay was particularly memorable because of Steve and Eileen who cooked us breakfast both days we stayed, were wonderfully helpful with recommendations and made us feel more than welcome. It is a short walk in to town, and other attractions like Lake Sambell, the Scenic drive (both highly recommend). We will definitely be aiming to re visit next year

The house was so beautiful with well keep gardens. We stayed in the Edward Retreat which had a small patio which we can sit and enjoyed the serenity of the garden. The room was comfortable and equipped with a fridge and provision for making a hot drink, plus cookies! The bathroom was also equipped with luxurious towels and toiletries. Being a B&B, we looked forward to the hot breakfast and we were so delighted that a couple of choices were provided each morning unlike some B&B which served the same eggs & bacon every day. We were also served coffee of our choice, latte. The hosts, Steve & Eileen, were such a lovely couple and made our stay so comfortable. Steve made beautiful coffee and Eileen is the cook for the delicious breakfast. A great team! Steve was helpful with information regarding restaurants, things to see and do plus directions to places in the region. A huge thank you for the hospitality and we will be back to share a glass of wine with you.

A beautiful house and landscaped garden with history and much character. The room was tastefully furnished, clean and well equipped with amenities. Our breakfasts were varied and always cooked fresh at our requested time. The coffee was excellent too!
Conveniently located a short walk from the town centre. Eileen & Steve's hospitality made our stay truly welcoming. Recommend this B & B for a relaxing time at Beechworth.

We didn't book the room our self. We were on a bike tour and the tour agency did it for us. And they did well. We were warmly welcomed by the owner. Our room was open on a terrace itself opened on a beautiful garden, The room was perfect, nicely decorated with all what we needed. We have had our breakfast in the main living room with other clients which made a great friendly ambiance and the food was so good (yogurts, home made jam or compotes,...). Just recommended!

We revisited this Bed and Breakfast for a two night stay following a stay earlier in the year and it was as delightful as the first visit. Eileen and Steve were fantastic hosts and are a wealth of information. Steve advise to travel to Melbourne via the King Valley and Mansfield. The lookout that was suggest to stop at on the way was just fantastic.
