Go early. Catch a ferry to the zoo. If you buy your tickets before boarding the ferry, you can ride the cable car up to the top and work your way down the zoo. If you have an Iventure card, you must take a bus to the top, so that they can scan your card with a special machine.

The zoo offers a large variety of wildlife, especially Australian wildlife – which was the draw for us. Several venues were closed the day we were there – either for repair or upgrading – but enough were open to show us, up close and personal – some of the more unique Australian wildlife. Zoo personnel are available everywhere to answer questions and direct you to where you want to go. The exhibits are clearly marked and signage is everywhere.

The views across the harbor from the zoo and during the ferry ride are incredible and worth the trip all by themselves.

Be prepared for heat and sun.

Definitely recommended as part of any trip to Sydney.

never visit zoo during time of animals lunch time or sleep time. we didn't see any tigers. zoo tickets are expensive . i wish they provide free bikes to move around the zoo. they can add more animals like lions, leopards, African elephants, and more

i want to see kangaroos and get koalas in my hands. but we were tired by walking to other parts of zoo.

We took the ferry from Circular Quay and I was lovely to see famous sights of Sydney, Oprah House and Harbour Bridge. It was a hot day and the crowd was bearable. We enjoyed the bird and seal show. There are many shows scheduled throughout the day so best to be there early as we only got there just before noon.

Wish somebody had mentioned the building work the noise was awful . Lots of animals not available or hiding . Pathways blocked off . If I had been pre warned think a trip to the wild life park would have been much more enjoyable x
