Delicious buffet with a great chef reminiscent of Nilgiris lunch buffets in St Leonard’s on a Sunday. $25 per head and tasty entrees including dosa. Main include vegetarian and meat dishes, fresh naan bread and lovely side. Good location opposite beach.

Was intending to have beers at the Collaroy and perhaps eat there....but discovered it was closed for reno.....again.

So decided to eat elsewhere but had not researched where, remembered there was a couple of Indian and Thai with good reviews. Noticed this restaurant and checked on line to see if it was one of the Indians with the good reviews, which it was.

Great service by experienced staff, food was very tasty, atmosphere was really good, nice outlook if sitting near the window. Air conditioned, very comfy.

Definitely going back here with other friends!! It was on par with The Indian Joint on the plateau, they are just different. Indian joint is more casual family style with entertainment, Periyar finer dining where you might take a date for the first time. Both great food and service.

Weeknights are the quietest for visiting this restaurant, as many times walked past on a weekend to see it over flowing with diners. It has a good reputation with locals, which was the reason I decided to try it.
You can BYO, or buy drinks from their selection. Service was prompt and dishes came out fairly quick. Price for 2 was very reasonable.
Bathroom area could do with a little work. Kitchen looked clean.

Although pretty expensive in comparison to the Indian food I’m used to back home in Dubai, the food is a decent quality. They also serve alcohol and allow you to BYOD.
